Izumi Sushi And Hibachi Grill

The atmosphere is incredibly enjoyable, featuring a well-crafted menu that showcases excellent food. The chefs add a fun and entertaining touch to the dining experience. The portions are generous, and the overall vibe makes it a great spot for group dinners in a pleasant setting with top-notch cuisine. Prices are reasonable, and kids really enjoy it too. There’s also a separate bar area for a nice drink and private rooms available for groups. However, there are a couple of drawbacks: the service can be quite fast and feel a bit rushed, and there can be a language barrier when it comes to conveying special requests, such as food allergies.

Great ambience. The food was good. Tad bit on the expensive side when serving the price on the part, but affordable (street area $25-$30). Server was warm, but didn't get the warm friendly mood. It would be a great date night place, but not so much for a family dinner with children (solly based on the mood I felt). But for the night of children or just friends hanging out, that would be a great place.

For some unusual reason, there are six sushi restaurants along Jericho Turnpike between Elwood Road and Commack Road. This might be a record for sushi per capita! Thankfully, they are all decent choices. We visited one of them on a weekday evening, so half of the hibachi area was empty, allowing us to escape the typical noise and endless birthday celebrations. The sushi was good.

Lunch service was really fast, which is great for a quick bite. Started with the Gyoza and the Filet mignon Cappacio both were really good. I got a dragon roll and my wife had the Alaska roll. Sushi was fresh and not skimpy on the meat which is a plus. Would def recommend!

I'm a regular there for the sushi dinner at least once a week. The food is excellent The fish is fresh I can tell because I'm a really big fish eater. I usually do takeouts but I do dine in sometimes with friends. The hibachi room is very busy so it must be good as well
