J B Dawson's Restaurant Bar

My fiancé and I have been to this restaurant twice, and it's about a 45-minute drive for us each time. We loved it both visits! The food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is incredibly relaxing. The staff works together seamlessly, which is evident in the quick service. Yesterday, we visited to wrap up our engagement photo session. Our server, Donnie, was exceptional. He told us about the specials, kept our drinks full, and even guided me out of the cold rain when we left. So far, we've tried the twisted shrimp, lobster bisque soup, seared Ahi tuna, salmon Oscar, crab Alfredo, crab cake dinner, and Cajun salmon with a side of mac and cheese. I always have a great experience when I visit JB; it's my favorite dining spot. The food and drinks are consistently excellent, and the atmosphere is lovely with great service. My husband really enjoys the urn, while I am a fan of the filet mignon. The salads are fantastic, and I highly recommend the salmon with potatoes and asparagus. The desserts are simply delightful! Brian, the bartender, does an amazing job, and we adore Nancy as well! We often gather with friends for dinner or happy hour. It's top-notch in my opinion!

I had an outstanding experience at JB Dawson's! The service was excellent, and the food was exceptional. I tried the unique Cobb salad tower, which was wonderfully filling. The Lobster Bisque was the best I've ever tasted, with generous pieces of lobster in every spoonful. The highlight of my meal was the chocolate bag for dessert—it looked like something from a 5-star restaurant! It was delicious, and the servers were incredibly attentive. I highly recommend JB Dawson's!

This is one of our top two favorite local spots. The lobster bisque is prepared perfectly, and their drinks are consistently a great value.

Overall great experience….only comment was that it was a bit warm in the restaurant, but attributing that to it being pretty crowded/full.
