We celebrated our 12th anniversary here tonight. The food was great. The service was wonderful. If you're a cocktail person don't hesitate to try the pineapple martini. It's light and refreshing. Not too sweet. The jumbo lump crab cakes appetizer was so good. We have never had crab cakes like that before. They are light and fluffy but still with some crisp edges. Almost souffle-like. I Was looking forward to a relaxing dinner this evening it was anything but that. It must have been 85 in this restaurant. It was very hot and extremely uncomfortable so we were unable to stay and enjoy a dinner there. We shared with our server that it was way too hot in the restaurant and obviously all the servers agreed they looked uncomfortable and hot although no one complained, they all remained kind and professional). A manager was supposed to come over to our table but she walked right by our table and didn't stop to chat with us at all so We assumed she did not care and so we left on that note. I recently had the pleasure of dining at J Gilbert’s, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The lamb was cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, a true highlight of the meal. The cocktail selection is impressive, offering a variety of creative and delicious options to suit any palate. Went for dinner on a Thursday night and it was pretty crowded and for a good reason. We have been here multiple times and it never disappoints. I ordered the Maryland Crab Bisque, filet with the sea scallops. I love the poblano au gratin potatoes which was one of my sides and they are my favorite!! Creme brulee was my dessert and it's delicious. Zahra the general manager stopped by to see how everything was and of course she was definitely sweet as can be. Delicious high-quality steaks cooked expertly, cozy atmosphere, and excellent table service! Recommend the filet mignon, broccolini, and loaded baked potato. The wood fired spinach artichoke dip really stood out as truly special!
