First of all, I would like to say that for me this was the best pig burger I've ever eaten. The food was very well prepared, the service was really nice, although not very attentive, as sometimes I had to stand up to look for the waiter so that he could give me a sauce. I also think the food was a bit expensive and overpriced. At any rate, the experience, the location and the ambience were perfect. I went to the VIVA Las Palmas in Medelín, and the climate was very good, somewhat cold, but nevertheless this made the experience even better. The parking lot was good, although there were only a few cars on the day I went, this shopping center has a small parking lot on the ground floor. There were not too many people this day, so the delivery time of the food favored, it took Aprox. 30 minutes to reach. I would recommend you to eat this hamburger, it has an excellent taste and perfect presentation.
Only pork, good pork, not fat pork... The menu has some of the best pork recipes of international cuisines. This novelty is a great surprise for us, Colombians, who love pork but are used to a few dishes (chicharron, pork loin, ribs, chops... . Porkslaps, knuckles, hamburger are some of those delights served in Jabalí. The side dishes are amazing as well as unknown: Mashed criolla potatoes with lemon or mashed yuca and criolla potatoes are absolutely great. After you eat in Jabali, you will want to come back to try the rest of the menu.
The restaurant is located in the mall Vivapalmas. The place is really nice and offers inside and outside sitting. The menu is not as big as many restaurants but haves a little bit of everything in it. Ask for they star dish and at site is looks simple but tastes incredible. Really nice. The price range starts at 25.000 for a hamburger until 45000 for their iconic dish.
I ordered the jabali burger and enjoyed it. Wouldn't say it's one of the three best burgers I've had in Medellin (I have Barbacoa, Jack and Rolland La Pampa Burger in my top three) but it's probably in my top five. I'll give the burger credit for being interesting and a little different.
