I barely ever give 1 star. I had a takeaway from here recently and it was inedible except for the mozzarella sticks which are probably bought in frozen and shoved in an oven. I had the pulled oomph burrito, the oomph was like little chunks of solid charcoal. I ordered my burrito with chipotle mayo, couldn 't taste anything but plain rice. The mac and cheese bites were so greasy and tasted like a bad doughnut. The tortillas were loaded with guacamole and cheese and all sorts which initially looked appetising until digging in to find about 5 tortilla chips all of which were chewy and not really edible. We only had to our knowledge one sensible Indian restaurant that delivers to our rural Norfolk village so I asked for ideas on a FB Community board. Jacks was recommended. Lovely service, excellent food very surprised by quality and quantity. Very pleased to have discovered them. Food was here within 45 mins and still hot. One little tip. If you call and get the answerphone don’t leave a message, hang up and try again. When I queried this the answerphone was full. So just keep trying, it’s well worth it!
Ordered brisket burrito, ‘Mexican chicken’ chimichanga, skin on Fries, onion rings and mac n’ cheese bites. The beef was dry and needed sauce, the burrito was mostly bulked out with plain rice, basic salad and that’s about it! A very dry and very average burrito. The fries weren’t cooked enough and the onion rings weren’t crispy. Basically I may as well have bought an Old El Paso fajita kit and done that! Would have been nicer than this below par stuff. My group of eight celebrated a special lunch at this restaurant. We had to change our booking time, which was no problem at all. The staff were welcoming and friendly, especially one man who was very attentive - I think he may have been the owner. Our dishes were delicious, and two of us ordered steaks which were cooked perfectly to our liking. We will definitely be coming back!
THE best vegan food in Dereham. We order from Jacks regularly and are always super impressed with how tasty the food is. I would recommend the refried bean chimichangas to everyone, so naughty, so yummy!! There are so many good vegan options including sundaes! Delivery is always quick too.
