I love Hattie! I started eating chicken salad last year and tried it in some places. It was okay. But then I tried it here and wow!! I regret never coming here to eat it all these years. It's really AMAZING! It is a simple recipe and not overwhelming. Combine it with a soda and chips and it is the perfect combination! I love it so much and cannot wait to go back and get another! Look at this hole at Covington, VA!
James Burke House is a quaint lunch-only place occupying a old brick home. The menu and specials are lunch-oriented, including mainly sandwiches and salads, and a few special dishes like quiche. Prices are very reasonable. Not elegant but the surroundings have a certain charm and the food was delicious. Definitely will return when I'm in the area around lunchtime.
