Jay's Beef - Reserva de mesa

I heard that this particular branch has closed down, and it's unfortunate because I've been dining here for over two decades. The beef sandwiches are phenomenal! However, I have heard that the Chicago and Harwood Heights outlets are still operational. I highly recommend making the journey to one of those two locations. The same delicious beef sandwiches await you there.

The Italian beef at this restaurant is top-notch - featuring quality meat, tasty hot jardiniere, and sweet peppers. The price is a bit on the high side at $9.05, but well worth it for the delicious flavors. In my younger days, I would frequently visit this location on Narragansett Avenue because they always served one of the best beef sandwiches in Chicago.

The restaurant offers quick and efficient service by a dedicated family. Their attention to detail is commendable. The food is delicious and well-priced. Don't forget to request some hot peppers to add an extra kick to your juicy beef.

The tables were dirty and there was no soap or towels in the restroom. It made me wonder how the employees washed their hands before serving customers.

I revisited Jay's restaurant today after not going since March before Covid hit. Unfortunately, I got very sick the day after my visit.

Cute, friendly family-owned Italian beef place. Meat was flavorful and tender, fries were fresh and delicious!
