The Italian beef at this restaurant is outstanding, showcasing high-quality meat, flavorful hot jardinière, and sweet peppers. While the price is slightly steep at $9.05, it’s definitely worth it for the incredible taste. In my younger years, I often frequented this place on Narragansett Avenue because they consistently served some of the best beef sandwiches in Chicago.
I’ve heard that this location has sadly closed down, which is unfortunate because I’ve been a loyal customer for more than twenty years. The beef sandwiches here were exceptional! Fortunately, the branches in Chicago and Harwood Heights are still open, and I highly recommend checking them out. You can still savor the same fantastic beef sandwiches there.
I've been coming to this place since junior high in 1982. After cheerleading practices or basketball games, we would all come here. They have the best beef and delicious hot dogs. I absolutely love the cheese for the fries. Great job to Frankie and the entire staff! And maybe next year you could consider giving my son a job.

Jay's Beef is consistently incredible. The staff is wonderful! It's my favorite spot to visit whenever I'm in the area.
