This place is definitely a dive bar; you can tell the moment you walk in, and the prices usually reflect that. I would say this place epitomizes the dive bar experience. What confused me about the wings was their sizing; they offer small and large, which are just 8 or 16 wings respectively. I initially thought it referred to the actual wing size. I ended up ordering the garlic hot wings. To my surprise, the wings were more medium-large, and every single one of them was exceptional. After many years of driving by and even living locally, I finally stopped into Jay 's Elbow Room. It was pretty much as I expected. Your typical hole in the wall bar .....dark, dank, and odd smells. Our waitresses were very friendly, however we did end up waiting about 45 mins to get our food, and the place was not busy at all (we were there on a Wednesday night). Fried pickles started off the night, which is a must at any bar that serves them. They were spears as opposed to the standard chips . A tad bit dry, but still very good!! The best in town.. Park perfect place to have a beer a quick bite and another beer and a double bite this place just makes you stay here I love it it's the best. And also don't forget to try their wings they are awesome I think the best wings in Maple Shade for sure and just look at their menu food is very yummy for the tummy! I used to really enjoy this place before the pandemic, but a lot has changed (like many establishments). You can't beat the prices, and the service is consistently excellent. The crowd is definitely diverse. The wings here are the best around, but I have one question about the nachos—why are the toppings served on the side? That’s my only complaint. I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. A group of women tossed their panties onto my table, and the staff failed to come by and sanitize the area afterward. I ultimately decided to leave and reported the incident to the health department. For a better option, I recommend checking out Jughandle Inn, located just down the road off Route 73.
