"Autumn hike 2022, for my wife and I should go through the Spessart this time. Franken, Terra Incognita for both of us. We had taken the Eselsweg from Nord (Schlüchtern) to South (Großheubach). 6 stages over a total of 120 kilometres stood before us. And even though Deutsche Bahn did everything on Saturday, the first October to make our journey from Münsterland to Spessart, we were in the late afternoon in Schlüchtern. In fact, we had reserved a room and a table in the Gasthaus Kaufmann, but the small family business was the victim of the precarious personnel situation in the gastronomy and had to close its doors in September and October. We had been transferred to the Accent Hotel (garni) of Schlüchtern and had to look for a new return in the evening. There was still time for an extensive round of the attractive small town. Enjoyers can be known to the meat shop Ludwig with its steakage, a show kitchen for extremely high-quality meat products. Through the shop window you can ripen a huge salt-feeded maturation room in the tempting oxen. On the first of October there was no food for us, so we were looking for it. Borgi had entered a plant 10 months ago and the HP was tempting, so we all look at each other. It is located a bit away in a kind of village communal house. The input is not just trying to turn you on. But smile from here, so we went in. Inside, a cozy and modern interior was presented and under this culinary imperative we took place. Because there was one last free table for us, luck. First of all, delete a beer for thirst, for my wife an apple wine, very dry, zero dosage you would call it a champagne. The card can be viewed on the HP. No too much reading for creative dishes with regional reference to suppliers. I might like that. On the way we shared an unusual bakery, a kind of pizza with a loam pastry. The Brizza (Bretzelpizza) It should be three cheeses high. Herb was among them, for the first Cheddar with rosemary, for the second goat cheese with caramelized hazelnuts and, last but not least, Emmentaler with roasted onions were on it. We never had such a pizza, the dough was quite crisp and firm, rather with a lot of snack. That was good for the cheese dress. Good start for us. In the main course for my wife Pasta with a lemonade and a glass of wine for me. Their choice was extremely seductive on the map, Pecorino-Feigen-Ravioli in the poppy was already a tempting announcement. This was served with sage butter, Red Beete cream and Ruccola Nest. She raised the thumb and was very satisfied. She tasted good. I ordered the carving. The variation of Piedmont should be for me. The supplying butcher came from the place, we had seen his business and the meat producer was from the region. I offer and finished pork with fries. But the cribs with pear, gorgonzola and dörrfleisch had attracted me. I enjoyed juicy meat with an unusual cover. Here again in detail. Also I was very happy with my choice! And both of us after dinner completely incapable of ordering a dessert! The service was treated by a young lady I think it was the boss. That was very wealthy, friendly and attentive. No complaint from us about this aspect. So, strangers, until you're in a shy place, looking for a very nice restaurant, and then you'll come to everyone. There you can eat very neatly and drink in a very pleasant atmosphere. Recommendation for the house!"

Herbstwanderung 2022, für meine Frau und mich sollte es diesmal durch den Spessart gehen. Franken, Terra Incognita für uns Beide. Wir hatten uns den Eselsweg von Nord (Schlüchtern) nach Süd (Großheubach) vorgenommen. 6 Etappen über insgesamt 120 Kilometer standen uns bevor. Und obwohl sich die Deutsche Bahn am Samstag, den ersten Oktober, alle Mühe gab, unsere Reise vom Münsterland in den Spessart zu erschweren, letztendlich waren wir am späten Nachmittag in Schlüchtern. Eigentlich hatten wir uns im Gasthaus Kaufmann ein Zimmer und einen Tisch reserviert, aber der kleine Familienbetrieb wurde Opfer der prekären Personalsituation in der Gastronomie und musste im September und Oktober seine Türen schließen. Man hatte uns ins Akzent Hotel (garni) von Schlüchtern umgebucht und wir mussten uns am Abend eine neue Einkehr suchen. Es blieb noch Zeit für eine ausgiebige Runde durch die ansehnliche Kleinstadt. Genießern bekannt ist vielleicht die Fleischerei Ludwig mit ihrer Steakschaft, einer Schauküche für äußerst hochwertige Fleischwaren. Durch das Schaufenster kann man einen riesigen, mit Salz ausgekleideten Reiferaum erspähen, in dem verlockend Rinderhälften vor sich hin reifen. Da gab es aber kein Essen für uns am ersten Oktober, also suchten wir weiter. Borgi hatte vor 10 Monaten einen Betrieb eingetragen und die HP las sich verlockend, also schauen wir mal ins Jedermanns. Es liegt etwas abseits in einer Art Dorfgemeinschaftshaus. Der Eingang verlockt nicht gerade zum Einkehren. Aber ab hier lächeln, also gingen wir hinein.  Drinnen präsentierte sich ein gemütlich und modern gestylter Innenraum. und  Unter diesem kulinarischem Imperativ nahmen wir Platz. Denn dort fand sich noch ein allerletzter freier Tisch für uns, Glück gehabt. Erst mal ein Bier zum Durst löschen, für meine Frau einen Apfelwein, sehr trocken, zero dosage würde man den als Sekt bezeichnen. Die Karte lässt sich auf der HP einsehen. Kein allzu großer Umfang, dem Lesen nach kreative Gerichte mit regionalem Bezug bei den Lieferanten. Das konnte gefallen. Vorweg teilten wir uns ein ungewöhnliches Backwerk, eine Art Pizza mit einem Laugenteigboden. Die Brizza (Bretzelpizza) Dreikäsehoch sollte es sein. Kräuterschmand war drunter, zum ersten Cheddar mit Rosmarin, zum zweiten Ziegenkäse mit karamellisierten Haselnüssen und last but not least Emmentaler mit Röstzwiebeln waren drauf. So eine Art Pizza hatten wir noch nie, der Teig war recht knackig und fest, eher mit viel Crunch. Das passte aber gut zur Käseauflage. Guter Auftakt für uns. Im Hauptgang für meine Frau Pasta mit einer Limonade und einem Glas Wein für mich. Ihre Wahl las sich äußerst verlockend in der Karte, Pecorino-Feigen-Ravioli im Mohnteig war schon eine verlockende Ansage.  Serviert wurde das mit Salbei Butter, Rote Beete Creme und Ruccola Nest. Frau hob den Daumen und war sehr zufrieden. Es hat ihr gut geschmeckt. Ich orderte aus der Schnitzelabteilung. Die Variation Piemont sollte es für mich sein. Der zuliefernde Metzger kam aus dem Ort, wir hatten seinen Laden gesehen und der Fleischerzeuger war aus der Region. So angeboten und erzeugt esse ich auch mal Schweinefleisch mit Pommes. Gereizt hatte mich aber das Topping mit Birne, Gorgonzola und Dörrfleisch. Ich genoss saftiges Fleisch mit einem ungewöhnlichen Belag. Hier noch mal im Detail. Auch ich war sehr zufrieden mit meiner Wahl! Und wir beide nach dem Essen komplett unfähig noch ein Dessert zu ordern!  Der Service wurde von einer jungen Dame abgewickelt, von der ich denke, dass es die Chefin war. Das war sehr zugewandt, freundlich und aufmerksam. Keine Klage von uns bei diesem Aspekt. Also, Fremder, bis du in Schlüchtern und suchst ein sehr ordentliches Restaurant, dann wende dich dem Jedermann zu. Dort kann man sehr ordentlich speisen und trinken in sehr angenehmer Atmosphäre. Empfehlung für das Haus!
