Had dinner last night after hearing rave reviews from my daughter, who’d eaten there numerous times. Started with arancini appetizer, which was two huge arancini and sauce, and plenty for four to share. It was hot and delicious. Shared a plate of focaccia between courses. Had the seafood spaghetti which was served piping hot (unusual for too many restaurants), and it was teaming with tender calamari and 4 large shrimp in a delicious creamy pesto sauce. Also tasted my daughters delicate and crisp skinned branzino which was prepared simply and beautifully, to allow the flavor to shine. A smaller, unassuming restaurant hidden in Plainfield is the home of some of the most delicious food I’ve had in a long time. We were fortunate to grab the last parking space there. We were promptly seated with our reservation, and we sought to try the fried Burrata, market salad, salmon, and Margherita pizza. My favorites of the night were the market salad and the Margherita pizza, both of which I believe to have a great flavor. Service was attentive and very quick, and the bathroom was nice and clean. I can’t say enough good things about this place! The food was incredible, and the staff/service were unbeatable. My friends and I split the octopus to start which was so tender and delicious. I ordered the branzino which was really good, and one of my friends ordered the 10oz short rib. When she had a bite of mine she asked if we could switch because she decided she wanted that instead so I took her plate and am so happy I did! The short rib was super tender and delicious and she loved the branzino. After we split the apricot bread pudding and that was phenomenal as well. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more!

Absolutely amazingly flavorful and delicious menu. We are so pleasantly surprised that there is such quality cuisine available close by. If you want to dry delicate and flavorful dishes influenced by French cuisine and don’t need a kilo of pasta in your plate, definitely, this is definitely worth the price.My only hope and comment is regarding the location. I don’t love the location, but keep going back because the food is excellent. I hope that they would consider changing the location or at least expanding the dining room and back yard as well. Beet salad had three small pieces of beets. Octopus appy was tough. Pappardelle with short rib was gummy and the beef short rib looked like chipped beef. My wife’s puttanesca pasta was overcooked. I really used to like this place but I’m not sure I’ll go back. Service was good s usual but quality has regrettably declined.

Great, friendly staff! truly a hidden gem and the food was A M A Z I N G! The mussels appetizer was to die for, the white sauce had us asking for more bread so we could get more of it! Came here for a lunch but will be back to have their dinner!

This small and charming restaurant is perfect for a family date night. You can bring your own wine or beer, and the food is delicious.
