This is our closest Jimboys to our house and my review is based on 4 5 poor experiences here. We always use the drive through so handy. It's right on the corner of Hazel and Madison easy in and out when you're on the way somewhere. I have been eating Jimboys since about 1980 so I'm definitely a fan.... This location is unfortunately a let down. The food is always greasy and soggy.... Other locations are not this way and from now on we will drive to Roseville or Citrus Heights.... Yesterday we had a terrible experience. The woman working the drive through was surly and cranky and we had to ask for everything. Catsup, hot sauce, napkins, our receipt....all in the pouring rain. She was not frie...
I visited Jimboy’s Tacos on Saturday night around 7:45. There was no one ahead or behind me in line, yet I waited over 10 minutes at the window. My food was just sitting there while a girl was mopping and chatting with a guy who walked in, completely ignoring me. I didn’t receive any utensils or the sauce I requested. The guacamole was unpleasant—I'm not even sure it was made from real avocados. Overall, I was disappointed.
I wasn’t impressed on my recent visit. I’ve been to this location over twenty times with no problems, but this time was different. I was the only car in the drive-thru and ended up waiting 30 minutes for just two ground beef tacos. I honestly thought they’d forgotten my order, so I went inside to ask for a refund. From now on, I’ll drive a little farther to the Orangevale location instead.
The restaurant has a newer location with updated appliances, and the food is incredibly delicious! While it's not ideal for a long sit-down meal (you won't want to linger for more than 10 minutes), the quality of the food makes it well worth the visit. It's kid-friendly, has a small parking lot (but there's usually a spot available), and is accessible for wheelchair users.

We are diehard lifetime Jimboy’s fans; But we just had our worst meal ever tonight. The beans were in only about half of the bean burrito. The taco salad was missing half of the ingredients and the taco meat was just ground beef without any seasoning. Sadly, this is the third time we have had a bad meal at this location. Sadly we won’t be back to this location.
I must say, this is the cleanest fast food place I've ever been to. The dining area is immaculate, and the bathrooms shine. I felt the need to write this review because I’m tired of businesses neglecting cleanliness these days. On top of that, the tacos are tasty and the staff is always welcoming. Well done, Fair Oaks Jimboy's, and thank you!
Food is always good, fresher and better than other fast food Mexican places. Staff are always friendly. But you will wait an exorbitant amount of time in their drive through, even if you're the only person there and you only ordered one thing. Plan on 15 minutes minimum in that case. 20+ if there's a car ahead of you.
The ground beef taco was tasty although it could use a bit more fillings of lettuce and meat. The bean and cheese burrito was very good and hit the spot. The salsa are some of the best. They ran out of green salsa so I had a couple of the red salsas. The order taker was very friendly and we left her a nice tip.

Surprisingly clean business and food isn’t horrible as expected. Way too high of prices for the ingredients in the food tho just go to a real Mexican restaurant
The food was great. The staff was great. The 57 cent credit card surcharge that was marked anywhere is perceived to be sneaky and dishonest.
