this venue is an eye opener for jazz fans! small but an excellent feeling with a concept of lounge seating places and a decor that will instantly relax as they want to house in their own lounge. Eating is delicious and affordable, served with refreshments, brought to a couch table or small table to their lounge by pleasant staff who like their order. in richmond, away from the cbd hectic, busy and difficult parking places (parking in a side street with a short walk to the venue,) this is a great place for an evening of enjoyable music. we will be back!
Jimmy Hornet was a surprise discovery and ABSOLUTELY THE BEST to stumble upon! From the moment of arrival to the moment of departure (and yes, embarrassingly, even the moment of return for my mobile phone that I'd accidentally left behind there in my elation, lol) EVERYthing about the venue its staff, decor, food, and even musicians breathed JOYFUL PASSION for the place, live music and vision of its owner. There was even space for some dancing. I am SO going to be a regular there now!!!
I was pleasantly surprised by my experience at Jimmy Hornet - it was the best discovery! From the moment I arrived until the moment I left (and yes, even when I had to return to retrieve my forgotten phone in my excitement), everything about the restaurant - the staff, decor, food, and musicians - exuded joyful passion for the venue and its owner's vision. There was even a space for dancing. I will definitely be a regular patron from now on!
A hidden gem in Richmond. We had such an amazing time. The service and hospitality were incredible. The venue is intimate and welcoming. They have a small stage that will support local acts soon. I cannot wait to visit again.

great place. I come. friendly and attentive service. interesting mood and decor. excellent eating and drinking, quite expensive. you feel like a family after you were a couple of times!
I thoroughly enjoyed my time in Jimmy Hornet's cafe and music venue.The food, ambience and music were most enjoyable. I will definitely go again with a large group of people!
A beautifully cosy spot to enjoy some great live music (sound quality is excellent) and delicious tapas style food!
