Went with a small conference group to this amazing Italian restaurant and was totally blown away! The food was exquisite we all had something different and everyone was impressed by what they had I had a side dish of Brussel sprouts and mushrooms...as my main, followed by the Affogatto espresso and vanilla ice-cream. For the add-on, I chose the Amaretto liqueur to go with it and it was nothing short of divine. The service was friendly and professional and the waitress that served us very helpful with choosing meals with Italian names. The restaurant is cosy with soft lighting and an intimate ambiance although there were families with children present, we really didn't notice them at all. It'...

Booked a table for two. Free tables in the front room, the nice bright, cosy main room, but we were shown to the dingy, dark back room. It smelled of Poo. The lovely waitress squirted air freshener every few minutes but the smell pervaded. “We...have a drain problem and my manager knows about it”. So book a table and get shoved round to the back where it smells of faeces despite tables in the front remaining free until at least after we left. Can’t be hygienic can it, a dingy back room where food is served in an aura of excrement? Great pizzas but prefer mine to be washed down by a gulp of wine and not with a poo-air chaser.

Pretty disappointed. I’d planned on Lygon Street for my first amazing Italian experience in Melbourne only to be told at the local pub to avoid Lygon and head to Fitzroy. Where do I start?! Main meal had to be sent back as the pasta was...undercooked, the bomballini dessert was so dry we didn’t finish it. The bill at the end of the night told us we’d ordered an dollar bottle of Cab Sav!!!??? We did not see a wine list, the girl at the bar ordered for us. Very average.

Quick meal mid afternoon after the movies. Interesting menu variably executed. Calamari starter a little bland and, for the price, a little mean. Kale salad really bright and well balanced but the fresh bean side flat, boring and under seasoned. The pizza had great, high...quality toppings but the base was criminally dry and unpleasant in the mouth. A major fail for any pizza restaurant. Adequate beer, wine and drinks list. Overall quite expensive for what it was. Reserva una mesa ahora

We visited for dinner, after having been given the tip by a former local. What a gorgeous place. Great ambiance and view to the street. The food was superb and reasonably priced. There were delicious aromas coming out of the kitchen all night, mingled with...hints of woodsmoke. Our kids and were very happy with the children’s dinner special. The service was faultless. We felt welcomed and well looked after. Well done guys!

Atmosphere is pretty standard for a casual pizza, pasta restaurant. Food is very good, pizza's are very generous however the pasta dish was a little small considering there was no option for entree or main sizes. Having said that the gnocchi were light and fluffy,...but the accompanying sauce was not to my taste. We were keen to try the bomboloni, but unfortunately there were not available. Coffee was good.

Upon entering Saturday) we were greeted with a what do you want' kind of reception. We'd like some food if that's ok was the only way we could respond. Margherita Pizza is still quite good somewhat moist and chewy inside the crust, not...too much topping. Pasta was pretty awful, some kind of concotion with peas soon forgot the name, sloppy, wet, easily replicated at home with leftovers and no thought.

We have been eating at and taking away food from Ladro for the last years. It never fails to fulfil our family's eating expectations the pizzas are always great (e.g. the Badabing with extra chilli), pasta outstanding and there is also a great...range of vego vegan options. In these times of changes have of course been made but the staff remain as always pleasant and obliging. Keep up the great work. Reserva una mesa ahora
