If I could give them a zero I would. We waited 2 hrs for our food. Jay was a horrible server. The manager was working the tickets, we called twice for him never came I had to get up and go to him. I live in Austin and was my first and LAST time at this place. My friends from Orlando same thing. We even had to extend our parking time and still nothing. WORST experience ever. No refills while waiting. No chips or fries which we ordered. And the full order were just 6 tacos. More than 5 tables came after us and they ate and left. A family of five got there and our horrible server told them the wait was going to be 40 mins. I’m pretty sure this was because they were white and we were Hispanic/La...
Was in the area for a week and was able to eat at Jimmy Hula's a few nights, which says alot as I prefer to try new spots when visiting someplace new. Alexa was the server/bartender for each stop in and she made the experience all the better! Very knowledgeable and helpful with a great personality that made us feel right at home. The blackened fish tacos were our favorite and arrived quickly and were very flavorful. Appreciate the friendly service and nice to find a go-to resturant with quality food nearby!
This restaurant is absolutely amazing. We stayed at the nearby Hilton by the beach for five nights and dined at Jimmy Hula's three times. We wish we had discovered it earlier, as the tacos are incredibly delicious, the prices are reasonable, and all three of our servers were fantastic. Despite being a bit short-staffed like many places currently, we can't wait to come back to the beach just to eat here again!
We stopped in here because it looked kitchy and fun. It took forever to get waited on and a long time to get drinks and food. The food was good but the service was lacking. My husband had a beer and would have got another one however they took his empty and never asked. This place is a cool beach dive. Can come in without shoes and in your bathing suit. Has happy hour, I think like 20 beers on tap. Good sized menu for everyone. I had the CaliBunga sandwich, it was delicious. My mom had the Surfin Cali Burrito, definitely would order next time. Fries are left to be desired, (there are other sides) as well as the salsa- very watery. Prices are reasonable. My sandwich was $15.
Julian was an awesome Bartender with many great suggestions. The tacos are the best I've had in years, did 3 of them and they let you split the types. All I can say is WOW! Great sevice and tacos. We will be back in a few days. A few days later, still great tacos. Fishbowl's on Friday lacked alcohol. Dropped to 4 star.
Came in very late after a cancelled flight left us stuck in Florida for a couple extra days. Was greeted quickly and staff agreed to stick around to make us a meal despite the late hour. Food was fantastic! Kids loved the cheeseburger and adults loved the street tacos and good beer selection. Would definitely return!
today for lunch, sceptical after reading some negative reviews. I'm so glad we decided to stop and try it anyway. Eating was absolutely amazingly tasteful and was a great price that ruck fries I highly recommend. service was also top-notch very attentive, our server came several times to ensure that we were all set.
