We visit this restaurant at least once a week, and I have to say that the claim about the owner being rude is completely unfounded. John is a really nice guy—he might be a bit quiet, but he is definitely not rude. We thoroughly enjoy breakfast there, and as someone else mentioned, the endless cups of coffee are a real treat. There was a time when they used to have an open mic night, and while I was out of town, we experienced a terrible electrical storm that knocked out our power. The lady who was with us chose to go to a place where she would feel welcomed and safe, and that was JoJo's Oceanville Inn—a popular spot among locals. I visited Jojo's for the first time and was blown away by the amazing food, just as I had heard. The atmosphere was lovely and the staff were extremely friendly. The only downside was the parking lot; last winter was hard on it, resulting in some cracks due to the temperature fluctuations. It definitely needs a redesign, so be cautious if you have a low car. However, based on the food and service, I’m giving it five stars. I would highly recommend it to everyone in the area!
Drove past and did not notice the place. She had been waiting for half an hour. decided to go somewhere else. Jo Jo is on Google. Looks like a dive, but thought we'd try. I'm glad we made it! The waitress was very nice and friendly. Food was excellent!!! I ordered the Italian omelet and woman ordered large stack of chocolate chip pancakes. Very good portions and delicious. Definitely be back.
We love Jo-Jo's. We are from LI and seriously lack a place like this for breakfast and lunch. Always stop at least once when in the area.
