My experience at this restaurant was just okay. However, it seems like every time I go in to grab a slice, they don't really want my business. Tonight, I ordered one buffalo slice, one cheese slice, and one BBQ chicken slice. First of all, the place is far too smoky to comfortably eat in. After finishing my buffalo slice, I went to the counter to let the cashier know what I had ordered. They charged me $23.66 and had the audacity to give me the other slices in a paper bag. When I asked for a box, they didn't even put the buffalo slice in there. This really frustrated me because when I got home, I realized I paid for four slices but only received three. EDIT 3/8/24: I just placed my final order tonight. The last three times I’ve ordered, it has taken over two hours to receive my food, and when it finally arrives, it’s lukewarm. I gave them a pass the first time since they had just reopened at their new location. The second time, I thought it was just a one-time issue. But this time is definitely the last straw. Goodbye, Joe and John’s! It was amazing while it lasted. What a disappointment. This used to be one of my favorite places to grab a slice. I've never had anything from there that I didn't enjoy, and the prices were always very reasonable. Plus, they delivered to almost anywhere!
I had a mostly positive experience at the restaurant. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, leaving a great impression. The prices were fair, and the quality of the food matched what you paid. One noteworthy aspect was the staff's commitment to cleanliness, as they worked hard to sanitize surfaces after every customer. Overall, the food was tasty and fulfilling. I would have rated it five stars, but I did find a hair on a slice of my Margherita pizza, which took away from my experience. Nevertheless, I would still think about coming back.
I've never written a Google review before, but as I’m moving out of Ridgewood and won’t be able to visit Joe and John’s regularly anymore, I want to express my love for this place. As a lifelong New Yorker, I can confidently say that J and J’s serves the best grandma slice I’ve ever had. The crust and sauce are just right. Every specialty slice I’ve tried here has been fantastic. On top of that, the staff are wonderful—genuinely nice people who are dedicated to making great pizza and providing excellent service.

I dined at this restaurant a while ago when the owner was still present, and I remember the pizza being outstanding back then. The staff was welcoming and relaxed. During my recent visit, the pizza I ordered was still delicious, but it didn't have the crispy texture I was hoping for. It certainly wasn't bad; I just anticipated a bit more crunch. Nonetheless, I definitely recommend stopping by for a slice!
This is by far the best pizzeria in the area! The pizza is exceptionally delicious, with perfectly crunchy and mouthwatering slices. The recent renovation has really elevated the atmosphere, and the staff is undoubtedly the best around. Don’t hesitate—missing out on this fantastic experience would be a real mistake. Stop by soon and treat yourself!
This is the best pizzeria in Brooklyn! The food is fantastic, and the service and atmosphere are equally wonderful. The staff is always cheerful and very accommodating. I find myself visiting at least three times a week, if not more! Thank you for your excellent service. Looking forward to my next visit!
Over the past month, this restaurant has become my favorite spot for pizza. Their cheese slice is the best I've had in quite some time, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I genuinely believe it's one of the best slices in New York, no question about it.
