This was our first visit with o Joe’s Crab Shack and it was anticlimactic. The appetizer, Fire Balls, were yummy with ranch on them but had little flavor without. If you like a little kick but not good on hot then these are perfect. The Jalapeño was enough to tingle your tongue but not be painful and the kick did not last long, no painful after-burn. Some run of the mill seafood. I 'd rate everything mid regarding seafood. The shrimp was ok. The crab was ok. Lobster was a little tough, maybe overcooked? The calamari was dry and over cooked and too much breading. The coconut shrimp was decent. The wife said the king crab bucket was a 3.5 out of 5, was, ok but not amazing. Of everything that I tried, the sausage in the pot boil pots stole the show. Food was good, however ordering a dinner for two the rate of $82 was not worth it. There wasn’t enough food for 2 people and we ended up grabbing a snack somewhere else after we ate here. Server did his job, but was a little slow on refills and getting items for us. Food was delivered to us with out silverware, so we had to wait several minutes for server to come back for him to get the utensils for us. Sweet tea had some sweetness to it, but mainly water downed. My biggest complaint was the price of foot for two when the quantity of the food was pretty much for one person.

The server did what he needed to do, but he was a bit slow on refills and bringing us items. Plus, our food arrived without silverware, so we had to wait several minutes for him to return with utensils. The sweet tea was somewhat sweet, but mostly watered down. My main issue was the price for the quantity of food, which seemed more suitable for one person than for two.

There was almost a 45 minute wait time. The playground in front of the restaurant definitely helped keep the kids entertained while we waited. Our server was FANTASTIC! He was attentive and always had a funny comment! The food arrived quickly and was delicious! There's plenty of parking available too! Bonus: there's also an ice cream shop across the street, if you still have room for desert!
We loved the food they gave us complementary ice creams for the kids which was nice from or host the food came fast and it was fresh. the playground area is so nice good place to take the kids.However, I’m giving it 4 stars because the kids food was not so goos we ordered mac and cheese it was dry and cheeseburger was not so yummy. But it’s a restaurant that I would visit again if I could.
The seafood at this restaurant was fantastic! The staff was excellent and I had a delightful experience. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and they also offer options for non-seafood eaters in your group. I highly recommend trying their seafood dishes. Just a heads up, the prices may be around $2 higher than what is listed online.
Joe's never disappoints! The snow crabs are always well prepared and the drinks are delicious. The location is great and both indoor and outdoor seating options are always enjoyable. Tonight, Ryan was our waiter and he was very helpful and energetic. I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone visiting the area!

We are on a vacation from out of town and had a great meal here. The food was good and our server Pat made it an entire experience! He had funny jokes and made us custom bibs for our crab pots! Thank you for all the recommendations in town Patrick!
