We had an astounding experience with not only the employees but also Joey himself. I got the pleasure of knowing Joey and how kind and humble truly he is. The food was impeccable and tasted amazing for my first ever experience. The atmosphere was both welcoming and calming. Courtney was the host when we went in, she took charge and was the reason our food got out fast. She was such a kind and funny soul, which I see runs in the family. And it was incredible with how she was able to get our food and drinks out to us! Joey's is named a family diner and being there with my family we were treated as if we were their own. Thank you Joey, for all your hard work you and your family have done!
Came here for my birthday last night. The service was excellent but relatively slow. Drinks came out a little late, but my cocktail was good. For apps, I ordered baked stuffed mushrooms. They were tasty and filling. The waiter made us a phenomenal Caesar salad at the table. We also were told we get a house salad with our dinner, after I already finished all of my Caesar salad, so I brought that home lol. My entree was stuffed rigatoni with vodka sauce and a mega sized meatball. The vodka sauce was perfection. Took the rest of that home with me as well. No room for dessert, but I have no doubt that would have been delicious too.
Since the pandemic it seems most restaurants have become lackluster, but my experience at Joeys was the complete opposite. I was really impressed by the restaurant downstairs with white tablecloths. The food was amazing and the wine selections were equally great. I was helped by Nancy she was a true joy. The team there seems to enjoy what they do and love to delight their customers. Wish I could take this piece of NY back home to Texas. Had to come back the same week for a casual dinner upstairs.
If you’re looking for old school Italian dishes you need to visit Joey’s Italian Restaurant! We started with the calamari steak. It was incredibly delicious and cooked to perfection. We then had the tortellini carbonara which was amazing, and large enough to feed 2 people and we still brought home leftovers. Table-side Caesar salad made for a fun presentation. My wife and went upstairs for the more casual dining experience. We enjoyed the atmosphere, and most especially the food. And I do not want to ding it to much because it was fairly busy night for the wait staff, but it took awhile for us to get seated and to order drinks and our dinner. But everything else was spectacular. It will be a spot we will remember if we ever make the trip back towards the east coast! Much love from the Buckeye/Hoosier states!
