Having lived in Vienna for several months, I’d sampled various Viennese weinerschnitzles. Johannes being owned by an Austrian, gave hope to a true weinerschnitzle. I’m happy to say Johannes didn’t disappoint! It was a PERFECT version of a classically prepared weinerschnitzle. It was the standard dinner plate size, thin, golden brown and non greasy coating. Served, as usual, with a lemon for spritzing, the frequent accompaniment of a sour cream cucumber side and a few small roasted potatoes. Exactly right!
