Johnny Pastrami's Breakfast

We were so excited to see what was Art's re-opened as this restaurant for breakfast and lunch. There are so few breakfast options in the north end of the city. We have eaten at the Ontario St location and it's always been really good. The new Lake Street location we hit for breakfast. SO DISAPPOINTED! Service was really slow. Waited for menus, waited to order, then it was almost 45 minutes after we arrived that we finally go our breakfast. Breakfast was cheap and cold. Bacon was rubbery and under cooked, there were about 15 greasy little home fries per plate and pancake served upside down because what should be the golden top was totally burnt and garnish was a teeny tiny slice of melon. Delicious, generous Eggs Benedict, reasonably priced at $9.95, and an appropriately named 'Big Boy ' breakfast--so large that the bacon, 3 sausages and stack of toast had to arrive on a separate plate. Delicious sausages, with perfectly crisped skin. Fast service, super friendly. Can 't ask for much more in a diner. Only wish we 'd thought to ask for a smoked meat sandwich to go.

We met there around 830am. I had the combo and my two friends both had the hungry boy. It was a bit of a wait for the food, but totally worth it! The portions are humongous and the quality of the food is excellent. Reasonably priced and good service. Would definitely recommend you check it out of you're in the area.

I'd give it a 5 however I can only do that 2 ways. It would have to be free or someone else would have to buy my lunch. This place is great however I've only had one sandwich there which is great. I give the corned beef on rye 10 out of 10. Go there you won't be disappointed. If you are I will buy your lunch. Reserva una mesa ahora

Don't go there at 5 to 8, they won't be there yet!. Great potatoes, great eggs and bacon. The girls look tired, like they need a day off. Hire another waitress that can take over for a day! Always a bit of a wait for your food. Table set up is disastrous.

Busy place at lunch. Rueben sandwich is stacked with meat! Super tender, super tasty! Satisfying portions at very reasonable prices. What a great place to visit for lunch!

Just had breakfast at new lake st. location in st. catharines. Amazing!!. Fast, friendly service and the food was out of this world. Definitely will be back
