I recently dined at Johnny's Italian Steakhouse (JIS) and was extremely impressed. While my date helped set a positive mood for the evening, the atmosphere, staff, and food all contributed to my overall enjoyment. Our server, Denise, was friendly and considerate, allowing us time between courses and ensuring we made it to a live theater show on time by packing our leftovers. We started with the Zucchini Fries served with a rémoulade dipping sauce, which my date seemed to enjoy. The Pan Seared Sea Scallops on a bed of brussel sprout slaw with bacon dressing were perfectly cooked and delicious. My group ordered three petite filet steaks at the restaurant. Unfortunately, one of the steaks came out looking more like a flat iron steak. We informed the server, who took it back to the kitchen. However, when it was returned to us, it was the same piece of meat, with the chef insisting it was a filet that had been "pressed harder." It was disappointing that two filets came out at a height of about two inches, while one was only half an inch thick. It was a bit disheartening that the customer's concerns were not taken seriously at Johnny's, especially as we were a party of six.
I will never dine here again Cole our server was the only thing good about this place! Food nasty, Hostess nasty and a liar African American lady with a greasy looking wig on) sat ppl with reservations after us in the area we asked to be seated in based off our race and that was evident after the AA couple ahead of us asked and were denied too , but immediately sat the white couple after us there. The food was poor flavorless and cold not even room temp. Honestly this place does not qualify as fine dining on any scale!
I was eager to try this new local restaurant! Unfortunately, the service and food was a let down. Our appetizer was flavorless and luke warm. The greens in my salad were wilted. My steak was over cooked, and hardly warm. It was atop a salty, packaged gravy like sauce. My baked potato wasn't warm, the butter atop it wouldn't melt, the cheese wasn't melted, the sour cream didn't melt. I was so unimpressed and felt like the restaurant was incredibly overhyped. I truly wish my experience had been better. To each their own

When we entered, several staff walked by without welcoming us. When the hostess arrived at the desk, she was not very friendly. The waitress was pleasant though she was overwhelmed by the number of tables she was handling. The food was good, though the sausage bread was cold. The prices were high but not unexpected for a fancy restaurant in that area. The worst part was that we were sat so close to a table of middle aged men that swore more than they spoke pleasant words which ruined the romantic atmosphere.
This is our second visit. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer. The 4-7 happy hour is very reasonable and a good value. As it was Valentine’s Day the service was a bit slow.our server was very nice and knowledgeable. The food is good.
We celebrated my husbands 35th birthday and the entire staff was excellent! The ambiance and restaurant is beautiful Id recommend for any occasion. We had a great time and will be back to enjoy happy hour next time
All three entrees were over cooked and over salted. Service was good, house wine nice flavor and good value.
