Pound of fried shrimp: this is really what you come to this place for. So good and comes with their signature sauce which is absolutely fabulous. I ordered 7 pounds of this to bring home to my family as a post-Christmas break from the leftovers. Cannot recommend more. Very filling, a pound is plenty. 5/5 Curly fries: this is the first time I have ordered the curly fries and I have to say they were super tasty! Recommend these over the regular fries. 5/5 With each pound of seafood that you order or you get to sauces. I recommend also picking up a bottle of the sauce to bring home for other uses because it is that good. The folks behind the counter were super nice, i'm in from California and d...

Stopped by yesterday. I had not visited since pre-Covid and when Lawrence seafood had just taken over from Johnson‘s Dour county. Dining room tables were significantly cut 50%. Staff was very rude. I arrived approximately 7:20 pm. Thought I could eat a portion of my order in the dining room and told once I received my food that the dining room was closed. And the people that were in the dining room we’re just “wrapping things up”. I assume they were regulars and I was not. It was unfortunate because the heat of the day. I ordered shrimp with light breading and it was over cooked. It was like eating a tough piece of steak. The cold items seafood sauce, and coleslaw were packed in the same bag...

What a disappointment! I used to enjoy coming here a few months ago, but ever since Lawrence's took over, the quality has gone downhill. Almost everything on the menu is fried, except for the macaroni and cheese, coleslaw, potato salad, and drinks. I ordered for dine-in and was surprised when my catfish was brought to me in a brown paper bag. The breading was thick and not light, and the frog legs were also heavily breaded. Without all the breading, the frog legs were actually tasty. The fries were decent, but the coleslaw wasn't the same delicious homemade style that Johnson's Door used to serve. The switch to Lawrence's has really ruined the restaurant's charm. Johnson's baked seafood was...

First and last time here. I had been craving fish and chips for a while but was hesitant after seeing the pics in their menu. A co-worker ended up ordering from their and said the cod was very good. So I gave in despite my instincts and order some fish chips and fries. Boy, should I have listened to my gut. The fish is obviously pre-made in a factory and frozen. The breading was less than appetizing and overall bland. The fries were oversaturated with oil. To me, this was akin to something you'd find in the budget section in a grocery store's frozen food isle. Overall the place was clean and the staff was friendly enough. Will definitely not be going back. Reserva una mesa ahora

This restaurant has been a great spot for a long time. They offer fried fish and shrimp, but you can also get them broiled. The restaurant was recently remodeled and now has new owners and management. The quality of the food hasn't changed and the service is even friendlier now. The only downside is that they no longer have their famous Thor Sauce, which was a spicy upgrade for cocktails and shrimp. I recommend getting a pound of Smelt to go, then heading down the block to Noon Whistle Brewing with friends to pair it with the Kolsch. You can't go wrong with that combination.

The Creole Shrimp Roll is a real bargain at $8! The soft brioche roll was brimming with perfectly cooked shrimp and an abundance of creamy creole sauce. I opted for the fried okra rather than fries and the large slices were nice and crispy outside, tender inside. The simple, seaside inspired decor and quiet, upbeat music makes it a nice place to enjoy a delicious lunch. Don't drive past, stop in!

First timer here. Got a lb of lightly breaded shrimps, a lb of calamari and fish-n-chips. It's a lot more food than it looks. Three of us barely made a dent, and we are full. Although two adults thought calamari was breaded bit too heavily, little one loved it and downed almost the whole lb herself. Would definitely be back to try other fish. As far as the shrimps.... probably not so much.

There's really not much to say. If you were in the market for breaded, deep fried seafood, this place is for you. Think admirals feast at red lobster, but a little bit higher quality. It's not tasty. But you know exactly what you're getting. Thanks for getting my order right, throwing in a bunch of extra sauces, and for fulfilling my once a decade craving for breaded, deep fried seafood. Terrible. This place is not good at all. The fish tasted bad and there was no cocktail sauce. Do not waste your time or money here. Just throw $16+ in the trash instead.
