Service was extremely poor and ruined my birthday!! The waitress asked how i wanted my steak and said rare. The steak (flank) came out well done, medium at best. The manager came out and said the waitress should not have asked how i wanted my steak as they don't ask for this cut of meat as the chef cooks it to his liking. The manager also said the steak looks more cooked than it is because after they cook the steak they pour hot butter over it which cooks it further. I think if your going to put hot liquid over meat you should undercook it so after the hot liquid makes contact with the meat then the meat is perfectly cooked, especially for flank steak which is tough as leather if overcooked....
Dinner at Jolley's was a great experience.
The restaurant is located next to the river with a romantics view and relaxing atmosphere.
Local and international gin selection - yum.
The flathead ceviche was delightful and we enjoyed the pork belly as well. Actually pretty good size of entrees. Tea Smoked duck and gnocchi with Scrimp for main. Both ok, but not matching the standard of the entree.

My wife I hadn't been back to Jolleys for some time due to our last disappointing visit food was very ordinary,service very poor the menu overall very average. But having decided to try Jolleys again we were happy we did.The menu is back to its former best the duck the scotch fillet are back! My fillet was tender cooked perfectly .Just one suggestion the scotch fillet should be accompanied with red wine jus.
CRICKEY NOT LIKELY. This is a restaurant looking over the edge of the long fall. Front of house politeness trying to cover for back of house mediocrity - not only struggling to get a decent dish on the table but then defensive an oh so precious. Approach with caution. Or go somewhere else.

Gorgeous location if weather is fine. Large portions and very good technique. Interesting wines by the glass. Warm room on cold, windy day even next to full height window.
