Jolly Gator Fish Camp

So, it 's a little out of the way but it will not disappoint! The water view and dozens of airboats passing for entertainment was super nice but the food was AMAZING!!!! My husband and I are foodies and we know better than anyone that it doesn 't have to be fancy to be good! The wings and fried okra were my absolute fav! Most places bread their wings but I do not care for that. The skin was still crispy but light and the flavors were SO there! The breading on the okra was PERFECT! We went right after it opened and were first table of the day! Our server was so sweet and attentive! We started off with a cup of the swamp cabbage and it was so unique! Great flavors! Highly recommend. My son got 10 bbq wings and they were the biggest wings I've been in years! Great! My hubby and I split the gator basket with Cajun seasoning, onion rings, cole slaw and corn fritters. Gator was some of the best we've ever had! So tender and seasoned well. Incredible staff and the BEST soup I've ever tasted! I was having a terrible day, but this soup completely turned things around for me. The swamp soup is an absolute must-try! The sweet tea was fantastic, and our lovely waitress brought us a whole pitcher without us even asking—it was as if she could read my mind! I only wish I had caught her name. Thank you for brightening what was a really tough day. The scenery was beautiful too. I highly recommend this place—10/10! We will definitely be returning!

Great seafood restaurant right on the St. Johns River! Both the service and the food was wonderful. You can choose to eat outside or inside depending on the Florida weather. If it's nice outside, eating on their porch allows you to see all the wildlife (birds, gators) that make the river their home! Highly recommended! Reserva una mesa ahora

The service was excellent, and I absolutely enjoyed the view overlooking the St. John River. The cod basket was filled with delicious items: two generous pieces of fish, hush puppies, fries, and coleslaw. Everything was tasty. This will definitely be my new favorite stop on my way to Sanford airport.

The restaurant may not have an extravagant atmosphere, but the food was outstanding. We ordered the catfish and fries, and it tasted like it was freshly caught that day. The catfish was lightly breaded, unlike some places where there’s more breading than fish.

Very unassuming place that is a bit out of the way for tourists. The food was great, portions huge.
