I'm not sure what has happened to this place; it used to be so much better. I arrived around 4 PM and noticed there were only about seven customers, with many empty booths. I requested a booth, but the staff seemed reluctant to clean one for us, saying we would have to wait 15 minutes, even though three employees were gathered around the computer.
Once we were seated, no one brought us straws, ginger, or wasabi. Not a big deal—I just asked for them. The first order went smoothly, but when I made a second order, we waited over 20 minutes without any sign of it arriving. I decided to cancel the order and request the check. The staff responded with nothing but attitude, as if it were our fault...
What an intriguing restaurant experience... You take a number and then wait anywhere from 10 to 15 minutes while watching open seating. I've even seen 10 vacant seats at once with no one being seated. It almost feels like they are trying to discourage people from dining there. It's quite peculiar, and they might be facing issues with dishwashing or cleaning tables. Overall, this seems like a case of poor management that is costing this charming little sushi restaurant potential revenue. Unfortunately, it seems that the owner is quite detached. I would suggest hiring a new busboy or providing more oversight to the current staff – or perhaps even investing in a new busboy altogether. Why leave...
Normally, I'm very patient with errors people make. I get it. It's the holiday season. We are all busy. Rushed. Stressed even. However, when a restaurant gets an order wrong, (e.g. handroll versus cut roll) and asks for the incorrect food to be returned! All-the-while arguing about who made the error! Especially when it was them!...Come on? Where is the desire for having a reputation for excellent customer service? Hope for customer loyalty and hope for future business? And the recognition of the value of word-of-mouth? Well...not here. Which is where my future business will be. NOT HERE!
small hole in the wall that I would meet against the most famous Sushi houses in little tokyo. excellent quality and reasonable prices. the counting of sushi plates is in it itself a funny exercise to see if their entire match the server. the best part is the conveyor belt that is loaded with sushi friends that are woven through the tables. not many sushi houses have this function. for 4 adult we spent $56, including congratulate. we were filled!

Shockingly awesome prices, super fresh and delightful! And love the conveyor belt. My son says it's like playing the lottery...lol. And friendly fast service. Highly recommend! We'd had volcano roll, miso soup, California roll, and seaweed salad.
This restaurant is fantastic – excellent service, affordable prices, and a perfect spot for a date night. My girlfriend adores sushi, while I'm not particularly fond of it, but we always have a wonderful time here.
