I can't speak for the fancier sushi rolls as my wife and I just came in for udon and ramen. Both were generally underwhelming. The ramen broth was ok but the noodles weren't that bouncy or fresh feeling. The toppings were boring but it was the vegetarian ramen. The udon broth was bland and toppings didn't add a ton to it. However, the udon I ordered came with 3 shrimp tempura which were pretty good. The oyster sushi I ordered was very disappointing. It wasn't the fancy one but there was barely a hint of oyster in there. It was mostly fried breading. I guess they tried to split one oyster across a roll or something. Great spot that has a mom pop feel. We've been a few times now because quality of the fish is great, and the platters are good value. For the sushi for 3, you get enough for 4 (but just sushi pieces accommodating for 3, so okay if you don't want each piece). The toro roll is actually full of toro so that's a good one and the sushi is fresh. The appetizers are also big portions so def plan accordingly. The white fish tempura is super tasty there's a lot of pieces. Really friendly staff and accommodating chef. small spot so if you want to guarantee, just call ahead but doesn't seem to be a problem.
I'm writing this review from my car right after my meal because I've never been more excited about finding a new sushi place that's so amazing. This is, hands down, the best sushi I've ever eaten in my life. I've eaten at so many places I can't even count, but this tops them all. Absolutely incredible, fresh, and served with a smile. You get what you pay for, and I would gladly spend another $60 here. Can't wait to come back!
What a wonderful gem in Mineola! Finally ordered from here after my friend recommended it. We ordered the sushi for 3 (for my husband and I to share ? and it was so fresh and good. We definitely did not expect such a good place that's tucked away near the LIRR station. Large pieces of sashimi. We haven't had anything as fresh around NHP, Garden City, or Mineola. This place is amazing! The crispy rice appetizer was OUT IF THIS WORLD!! My tea cup and water were never empty. I almost didn't want to write this review so that know one else finds out about this hidden treasure. So much better than the old place here. The mason jars and menus were a really cute way to pull the ambience together. Fresh food and good prices. Definitely recommend! :

Test this place by chance and had the best sushi menu on Long Island in a long time and I was to most of them! This place has Japanese school style flavors! Great fresh sushi. Large pieces of Sashimi and the flavors were up! The owners are so friendly and cook is also great! Must try!!
