Kakuna Sushi - Reserva de mesa

Small place with about 6 tables. We went for lunch on Sunday and there was a short wait. You order at the counter and food is brought to your table, water and hot tea are available to serve yourself. WOW! The rolls are HUGE and very reasonably priced for the size. I love the menu with a large variety of rolls, sauces and combinations to try. Most importantly the fish was fresh and everything we ordered was delicious. I definitely recommend the Phoenix roll. This is not close to home for me, but I'll go out of my way to come here for my sushi fix.

I'm actually going to give it 3.5 stars, but not able to mark the number of stars I would give above. Sushi roll is decent and flavor is good. I like the garlic in the sauce. Gives it a garlic flavor. My sushi roll has salmon on the outside and other types of fish inside. The fish inside tastes pretty good, but somehow the salmon doesn't taste exactly fresh...just average. When I pick up the sushi with my chopstick, the rice falls apart. Checked this place out because of the great reviews. Got a bento for takeout grilled pork belly, sashimi, and veggie tempura. Everything was tasty and well cooked. The gyoza was also surprisingly delicious. The sashimi was fresh and melt in your mouth good. The tempura retained its light crispiness even after a 15 minute wait in its sealed plastic container (boooooooo on the plastic! . The staff were super polite and friendly. Excellent spot for sushi at an affordable price. Many of the specialty rolls are about 12$ which is cheaper compared to many other sushi spots I have visited before. The taste also either is similar or beats the other sushi spots I have been to. I have tried several different rolls (Sumo, Dragon, Kakuna, to name a few) and honestly they are all on par with each other. Pick any specialty roll and you can't go wrong. I'd definitely come back! The sushi at Kakuna was fresh, generous in portion, and delicious. The restaurant itself is very small and not particularly great to dine at, but the service was pleasant and there?s plenty of parking if you decide to eat there. I probably will do what most people do order out next time I go. You know a place is good when there?s a steady stream of people coming in on a Monday night to pick up orders!

A small sushi place that delivers big plates and huge amount of delicious goodness. Ordered Hokkaido roll and Oiishi. Both came with tons of raw fish. The Hokkaido had a giant pile of scallop on top which completely buried the rolls. Would recommend getting take out as this place is very small and limited seating. But the rolls here are definitely worth it!

The rolls and teriyaki plate tastes good but average, portion is on the smaller side and price is alright. Only order takeout cos I'm close, the inside is small with only four tables. A very average Japanese Sushi restaurant.

The Boujee sushi roll at this restaurant is extremely delicious. Despite its humble appearance (a hole in the wall), the quality of the food is exceptional.
