My husband and I enjoyed a lovely Valentine's Day dinner at Kalaveras in Chino Hills. We had some great drinks and meals, and the carne asada shrimp enchiladas were delicious. The service was exceptional, from the reception to the waitstaff. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the occasion. While it is on the pricier side for Mexican food, the portions are generous. My only real complaint is that the music was quite loud, making it difficult to have a conversation without raising our voices. Additionally, they exclusively played Banda music, which isn't my favorite; a mix of different Latin genres would have been a nice touch.
Great restaurant! Great food and the price on the food was reasonable. The noise level was just right at 6:00 pm, but it did get a little too loud later in the evening. I have a recommendation, I did notice young children at different tables, and your videos on the large monitors were more for adults. I personally wouldn’t feel comfortable inviting family members with young children. Maybe select videos to play appropriate for a larger audience. I don’t have small children anymore so it doesn’t really pertain to me, but I thought I would provide your restaurant with a sincere recommendation. Overall I loved! Great job!
The food was really good and the portions generous in correlation with the pricing the only complaint I have is that I don't mind allowed a busy restaurant but it was like eating in a nightclub I expected go-go dancers to start climbing on the tables any minute it was so loud that you could not really carry on a conversation they could have maintained the same fun and vibrant ambiance by turning the volume on the music down a decibel or two. I think it is important to note location, this was a suburban location in Chino Hills not somewhere in a clubbing district so a bit over the top...
I had an incredible time celebrating my wife's birthday at this restaurant. We arrived a few minutes early, and they graciously seated us right away. The food was outstanding, and I can't wait to return for another meal. The service was exceptional, with several staff members checking in on us and ensuring our drinks were always topped up. The ambiance was fantastic, featuring great music and sports in the background, yet it was still easy to have meaningful conversations without raising our voices. I highly recommend this place!

This was a great place for lunch. It wasn't crowded, and they were able to accommodate our group of nine for a business meal. The staff were friendly, and it was a big advantage to be able to make a reservation, especially during lunch when it can get busy. They offer a lunch menu that includes a soft drink, and the prices are very reasonable.
The menu is good, few suggestions but precise, you don't get bogged down when ordering and that is a very good point, the drinks are good suggestions on the menu, the presentation is perfect, and I like that they don't turn up the music so much, Like in other places, they really exaggerate and take away the essence of the establishment.
Food was delicious, ceviche was super fresh. Really enjoyed the cheesy shrimp enchiladas. Our server was phenomenal. The group all liked their cocktails. Be warned? this was the LOUDEST restaurant I?ve ever been to. Our table of 7 had a hard time talking, but it was a fun atmosphere.
I had a fantastic experience at the restaurant overall. The parking situation outside is a bit cramped, but everyone appears to be considerate of each other's vehicles.
