We were slightly worried after booking a dinner here for our belated honeymoon after reading some of the other reviews here, but Kali pulled out all of the stops. I've eaten at places owned by celebrities that taunt how many stars they have, and they don't hold a candle to Kali. We had the nine course tasting, which some complain is over priced, but this blew a $350 tasting I had elsewhere away. Decadent doesn't feel like a powerful enough descriptor for the menu the chefs put in front of my partner and I. Kali delivers an upscale, gourmet and pricey dining experience. Michelin star rating deserved. Our party of four did both the pre-set Chef 's four-course tasting menu and a la carte dining. Both ways and choices were excellent. Shellfish great, but (a la carte New York steak had some excess fat, though. Dessert was devine. Cocktails, bottle of wine and dinners pushed the tab to almost 800, plus tip, so make sure you bring the big . The service and food presentations made the experience quite special with gourmet food over-the-top good. Caution: Don 't let the hole-in-the-wall exterior fool you (pretty typical for L.A. Kali is one of those places that despite its Michelin star is highly underrated. The quality of execution in food is beyond reproach, matching its two star neighbours at Melisse and Providence. The staff service is without fault. I've now attended dinner twice. Once as a solo diner. Once as a group of 3. Both times I've left with an experience I will not forget. Each course and wine pairing is as thoughtful an immaculate as can be. Delightful on the palate and intriguing to the mind. To describe the execution as flawless is to undersell it. Kali is surely a must visit for anyone in the LA area.
Don't let the hole-in-the-wall exterior fool you as inside, a foodie heaven awaits. Kali delivers an upscale, gourmet and pricey dining experience. The staff could not be nicer or more attentive, they were all lovely. We had an incredible dining experience at Kali. We got the seasonal tasting menu and our favourites were the Ribeye, the truffle risotto and the meringue gelato, all were very tasty, flavorful and delicious. The service and food presentations made the experience quite special with gourmet food.

Amazing food. Amazing wine pairings. Amazing cocktail service. I don’t understand why this is only one Michelin star. I’ve now dined twice. Everyone has been a world class experience that rivals its two Michelin star competitors such as Cyrus, and providence. At a much more approachable price point. If you’re in LA, and you should absolutely make Kali part of your time in LA. Meal type: Dinner
Came here for the first time the other day for dinner and the ambience is very cute. The food is very aesthetically pleasing and very well put together as far as presentation. They do not have any vegan options at all but do have non meat dishes available for the non meat eaters. The price point is more on the higher end , Overall it was an 8 out of 10 .
Michelin seems to be giving away stars in LA. Decent food, two dishes were actually good but, sorry to say, highly original food is another thing. And the decor makes too.
Back again! Ordered the spaghetti without sea urchin, subbed with lemon cream sauce. Delicious!!
