I posted 2 photos and they aren't the best because we dived into the food right away. We were craving ramen because we had just got back to town from Japan a week ago but my husband didn't want to drive downtown for ramen. We found this place which was a 10min drive from our home. It's not fancy and definitely more along the lines of mediocre set up. Menu for ramen included 2 broth options and each had 2 options of 2 slices of chashu or 4 slices. So essentially...you have 4 ramen options. They also had combos where you can pair up the ramen with some side appies.I ordered the Tonkotsu RICH broth while my husband ordered the Miso Regular broth. I found my broth to be very rich in "pork bone"...

I am not usually a big fan of ramen as I often find the broths too salty at most restaurants. However, my experience at Kamamarui proved me otherwise and I'm open to try more ramen establishments again. The highlight of my Tonkatsu Ramen was the flavour of the charsu pork itself. It was juicy, full of a roasted flavour, and had the perfect balance of fatty and lean meat. The broth was very refreshing and made great use of the green onion garnish as the flavour actually highlighted the broth. You are also able to pay additionally to have combo add-ons such as onigiris and mini donburis with your ramen. I decided to order the Twinkle add-on. It was primarily a ground pork croquette ball with a...

I've been to both locations. Awesome! My (Japanese) wife, who you would know is quite critical, if you've read past reviews, is not as in love as I am. However, when we married, it was not a pre-requisite she love everything I love. That being said, she does like eating here, it's just that as of late she has been turned off of noodles. Back to this review. Their broth has improved since the first time I went long, long ago (like 2 years). I love their broth now and the tender BBQ's pork is a nice change from the sometimes bland or tough pork served in conventional Ramen joints (even the reputable ones). My 5 year old daughter is crazy about the Twinkles! Last time I went (5 days ago) they l...

I was searching online for a restaurant near Metrotown and came across Kamamarui Ramen & Don. It has good reviews on Yelp, so we decided to try. The restaurant doesn't take reservation, and we were a party of three, so we had to wait for half an hour, because all the four-seaters were taken by two people. The food is quite expensive for a ramen restaurant, and the combo is not cheaper than ordering the dishes individually. For example, a full tonkatsu costs $12, and if you order half of a tonkatsu together with ramen, you pay $6 for the half tonkatsu... I ordered the miso ramen and twinkler (I thought it was similar to tonkatsu, as the description is fried breaded pork, but it tasted more li... Reserva una mesa ahora

I came here with the intention to try the quality of their chasu miso ramen. The pork is on the sweet side kind of the chinese pork you can get at a dim sum place. The soup based is good but not better if compared to Santouka's and I even opted for the richer soup versus their regular.Service is excellent - It takes a little longer for them to prepare your ramen since they only have 2 people at the kitchen. Overall not a bad experience.

No line up so we decided to give it a try. Read a lot of good reviews and most are correct. The Chashu Ramen is awesome. Must try it with the BOMB. These rice balls with seaweed and teriyaki sauce is the BOMB. The staff is very friendly. Just wish the seats have backrest. Drop in next time you're craving Ramen in Burnaby.

I am not surprised by the fact that we have not been able to eat in the near-arching shops at the very outset, which is a daily life division and a arsenal, and that there are two bome truly no-flights that I have been able to test the stereotypes that are not enough for Chinese.

Limited seating here so come early or be prepared to wait a bit. Excellent ramen with rich broth. Meat was generous and noodles were well done. Comfy seats and tables and service was friendly. Reserva una mesa ahora

Ordered Chashu ramen for take out - brilliant. Super friendly staff, extraordinarily fast take out - I think it was maybe 5 minutes.
