Literally the best sushi spot that’s kind of a hidden gem in Oceanside as I hadn’t heard of it only due to it being tucked away off Oceanside blvd very close to the Frazier Farms before the I-5 fwy entrance. With a better location this place would definitely be consistently over-crowded with people as the food and service is if top notch quality. I’d recommend trying this spot over most other sushi places in the local area especially if looking for a nice quiet restaurant to eat at with exceptional service. Try it out for sure
Got the Poke bowl and had a good selection and price was reasonable. Another visit today, 10/31/2022 Halloween.... My father and I had dinner tonight at Kampai. I have only ordered to go with the Poke Bowl. My father had the teriyaki chicken (sorry no pics) but he enjoyed it. I had the Spicy Miso Ramen which was very delicious. The broth was very tasty and pork, bamboo shoots and veggies were very very good. I would definitely give this place a TRY...
This location is by far the most authentic when it comes to sushi and environment. These guys aren’t trying to be the best, all they care about is the freshness. And making sure people get that experience of sushi in California. It’s a great hole in the wall and mom and Pop. Birthday are covered for desserts and they accept military discount. It’s been locally owed for about 28 years!! 2 original owner’s.
I had the best sushi experience of my life at this restaurant. The plating and taste were amazing, there was plenty of variety for everyone, and it was not as expensive as most sushi places. I have been going almost every Friday because "too much is a bad thing" is very untrue for this restaurant. It's a place you can keep coming back to for sure. If you love sushi, this place is a must-visit.

Recently had a fantastic lunch experience at this restaurant. The food was delicious and the owner and staff were extremely welcoming. As parents of a 10-month-old daughter, we don't dine out often. However, they went out of their way to ensure our needs were met, even surprising our daughter with a special treat. We have definitely found our new favorite neighborhood spot.

The Jalapeño Bomb at Yum Yum is fantastic! The atmosphere is nice, the service is good, and Steve, the sushi chef, makes amazing sushi. I tried the Philadelphia and Alaska rolls, and I was not disappointed. The prices are reasonable too.

Where's the 6 star button? Service was great, but the sushi? It was so good. The presentation cries to detail. And the prices? Extremely competitive.
