Kansai Sushi in Hayward is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted warmly and treated to an impeccable dining experience. The atmosphere is elegant yet cozy, setting the perfect stage for a memorable meal and a perfect date spot.Now, let's talk about the sushi it's sensational! The freshness of the ingredients and the presentation are top notch. Whether you prefer traditional or adventurous rolls, the menu has it all. The Sashimi was very fresh and the rolls were standout dishes. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed the Kansai Roll along with the Sashimi dinner combo.The beverage selection is impressive, featuring a good sake and Japanese beers. We got a little tipsy haha....
My husband went there for a pick-up for a customer, it was about 9:30 pm dark out. A young latina lady came out the back and asked how can I help you? And he told her he was there for a pick-up, she told him about three more minutes and if he could wait outside . Mine you there are no seats outside, it 's dark but there were empty seats inside...hmmmm. Why? He is a customer too, even if picking up food, we could be potential furture customers but not with service like this. Also If he was there to pick-up his own food for himself would you ask him to wait outside???
Came in and ordered 2 rolls and both were awesome. Always order deep-fried California rolls because everyone has their own spin to it, but also got Godzilla. The fry on both was great. Light and crisp. Service was great. Couple of separate vendors came inand the owner and server accommodated both. The atmosphere was light...very small space but perfect for one or twopeople. Digitally, the store has their act together. Online menu, updated profile on Google, and even branding via T-Shirtsales. ????????
I had a fantastic experience with the bento box, which was impressively large and beautifully presented. I shared it with a friend and we both ended up very satisfied. The teriyaki sauce was delightful, and I was pleasantly surprised by the gyoza – they were big and wonderfully crunchy, a nice change from what I've encountered elsewhere. The danmuji (pickled radish) added a great touch to the meal. The pickup process was quick, and the staff was friendly. I highly recommend this place!

Lunch review: Definitely get the bento box! I chose the chicken options and omg the portions were hella huge. I swear it was enough for 2 meals and with the lunch special it was pretty cheap too. Besides that everything was pretty average--the sashimiwas alright and the chicken was a bit dry. I'd come back tho just because it was such a deal haha. Food: 6/10 Service:6/10 Vibes: 5/10 Value: 8/10
Ordered crockets but there were more like Indian taste with tumeric or smth, rather than Japanese, still delicious but wanted japanese ones! The sushi were also ok, got disappointed with spicy sushi as there were lots of mayonnaise and I couldn't tasteanything else. The miso soup was tasty.
Huge and beautiful bento box. I shared it with my friend and we both got super full. The teriyaki sauce was so tasty and my biggest surprise was the gyoza big and crunchy, unlike other places. Danmuji (radish) was a nice touch. Pick up was quick and staff was nice. Highly recommend!
The best rolls we have ever tried. The food is delicious and exceptional, the ingredients are always fresh, and the prices are reasonable. This is my favorite sushi place in the area so far. Highly recommended?

It's the little details.....The waiter offered to bring us ice cubes to cool down our kid's soup. Loved that! Food quality and quantity was awesome. Will definitely be going back.
Our first time visiting and definitely going back. Nice Cozy spot perfect for 2 people. Super friendly staff. Fresh food, what more can you ask for.
