Karachi Dhaba Chaat

Been to this restaurant a few times and enjoyed their Chapli Kabob and club sandwich and we felt good that we found something good in the neighborhood. After a gap of several months, went back last week for halwa puri and chai (Kashmiri chai was hot water with pink color in it) and words can't describe the DISGUSTING feeling we got after eating the food there (the Cholay, Halwa and Sabzi was at lest 3 days old). Sad part about it, we took a relative with us and told him ahead of time that this is a great place to eat. As always (Desi mentality), restaurant was dirty, tables were not clean AND we were told that at 1:00 pm we can order other items from the menu, which was a lie because at 1:00...

To make matters worse, my vegetarian brother asked for a vegetarian dish like daal, and the owner jokingly suggested he should go to Taco Bell or McDonald's instead. While we all laughed it off, it was still inappropriate, and my brother felt offended—especially since we were paying customers. The daal we received was old and unappetizing, clearly reheated in the microwave, with crusty residue around the edges of the container. That was the final straw for me. I had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was very poor, and the food was clearly old, to the point that my family couldn't eat it. The staff member we spoke to denied that the food was stale and had a strange odor. Despite expressing our legitimate concerns, they still took all our money. The cleanliness of the place was unacceptable, and I strongly advise avoiding it altogether. I suspect they may have either faked their reviews or reused reviews from a previous establishment, as there's no way this place deserves a 4.2-star rating.

I ordered 60 wraps for my son's birthday party, and they were a huge success! Rashid, the owner, was incredibly accommodating and friendly. I was a bit anxious about the large order and concerned that the wraps might be dry, but I had nothing to worry about. We had malai boti roll,samosa chaat,bun kabab,zinger burger.we were confuse for my daughter because she don't eat spicy.Owner suggested malai boti roll she loved it.Food was amazing.Surely will go again.

Awesome halwa puri. Best of you done in there. There burgers are also good and bun kabab is spicy like thelay walay style!

Bun kabab taste worst. Chicago classic taste is just okay.....Overall experience was so bad.
