Out in Yarraville our fave place for gals night out. We had dinner Kawa Saki at 7:30. The service was great, it was really busy but regardless the staff were willing to answer my naive questions as I am no expert on Japanese food. I got the soft shell crab as a main and shared a small tofu dish with a friend, it was delicious. The only criticism is the seats are not comfy basically wooden blocks but I assume you are not meant to be comfy as it is a busy place and maybe they want high turnover. Good friends, good food got it all at Kawa Saki...
We love Japanese food and recently having been to Japan we were excited to come here for an authentic experience. The food was top notch, everything we ordered was delicious. Although the prices were too high in my opinion. This little restaurant is not in the CBD and has prices that are higher than the Japanese restaurants in the cbd. We had a good dining experience and the staff were nice. Due to the price we probably cannot justify eating here more than once every few months.
Japanese is our favourite cuisine for dining out. Whilst this is not a Sake equivalent, this is much friendly on the hip pocket. The sashimi is fresh and the sushi is made literally in front of you.The stools up at the bar/boat table can go up and down so little kids can sit up there quite easily. They are extremely welcoming and understanding of small children and made sure they were catered for.We ordered Miso Soup and the sushi platter and were quite happy.
I fell in love with this place the first time I went. The salmon sashimi is always delicious and serving proportions are really good. The atmosphere is relaxed, welcoming and although it's a tiny little restaurant it doesn't feel cramped. The service is always super friendly, professional and waitresses are really sweet. We visited Kawa-Saki Sushi Boat and Grill Bar for the second time in as many months.Everything we had was delicious. We had rice paper rolls, deep fried soft-shell crab, Japanese fried rice, okonomiaki, gyoza (pork and prawn), beef yakitori and crispy tempura vegetables. Everything we had was very good. We will be back. Great to have a quality Japanese restaurant in the West!
The decor is great, the service attentive ,... in fact, there's nothing to dislike about this funky restaurant except perhaps the punning name! It offers a great array of choices and all the dishes our birthday party of four ordered were excellent. It's not the best Japanese restaurant in Melbourne but, considering the prices, it's well worth a visit. We'll be back.
We came across this busy little restaurant during a work trip and were pleasantly surprised. The food was of good quality and well prepared. Agedashi tofu and pork gyoza were a highlight. The "sushi boats" were cute and a nice variation to the normal sushi train that we have seen.
A family friendly quirky Japanese restaurant. Fun atmosphere good basic Japanese food. Sushi boat travels around a central table in a moat, the children really enjoy catching their sushi. Freshly made sashimi and sushi, good gyoza and grilled octopus. Reserva una mesa ahora
