A little bit of a frustrating experience here. Apple Maps showed there was one of these in San Bruno, nearly on my way home. Go there, park, walk up — it’s closed, completely torn down. Don’t know if they’re establishing shop there or closing that location but it was a waste of my time. I’m in it to win now, so I drive to the Daly City location. Very hole-in-the-wall. Soda machine doesn’t work, door doesn’t close all the way, none of the TV’s they have are on. The whole place seems to not match the quality of the website they have. I place my order with a latina, she says it will be 15 minutes — understandable. The price for a plate was $18, so for two $36… my bill was $50 and I have no clue...
My son and I dined at this restaurant for the first time today, eagerly seeking some authentic soul food. We decided to try the chicken and waffles, along with the catfish and jumbo shrimp, and we paired our meals with sides of mac and cheese and candied yams. Everything we tasted was incredibly authentic and delicious. The waffle was thick and perfectly cooked, while the chicken was juicy and fried to perfection, accompanied by a fantastic honey mustard sauce! The catfish was exactly what I had hoped for, lightly coated in cornmeal—definitely not the subpar flour you find in some other places. I was in Colma and thought I'd take a walk to the restaurant, but I ended up getting lost on the way (what was supposed to be a quick 12-minute walk turned into quite an adventure). When I finally made it, the owner was exceptionally friendly and helped me relax. He even gave me detailed directions for an easier walk back to my place. The chicken was incredibly tasty! I highly recommend this restaurant! Thank you so much, Keith, for assisting this Texan and serving the best fried chicken I've ever had!
This place is a dump. Traveled from Hayward because of the reviews of the delicious chicken. Unfortunately, when we walked in this tiny hole in the wall, we noticed dirty tables and dirty floors, not to mention the people behind the counter didn't even acknowledge us. It's a shame to have such high expectations and to be so disappointed. 5 negative on the atmosphere, service... Negative experience. :

Keith’s is by far the best chicken and waffles I’ve had in the Bay Area. The fried chicken is seasoned and cooked perfectly. The waffles are amazing.. ordered mini regular and red velvet and both were perfectly cooked. Mac n cheese is seasoned and tasted great. Red beans and rice are next level. Corn bread is delicious too! 5 stars over and over.
Loved it, loved it, loved it! What more needs to be said. Came here for lunch today, and aside from trying to find a parking spot, everything was wonderful. We ordered two chicken and waffles plates, Mac and cheese, collard greens, and the candied yams. Collard greens were my favorite. Looking forward to a return trip.
this is good for the unholy time of night that we went to visit but they were out of mac cheese, which was our main reason for coming here that was a real letdown a blow to the chest. The chicken is pretty good and the waffles are really good as well. Just super sad that they were out of mac cheese.
Best spicy chicken sandwich i’ve ever had. Just the right amount of spice, and perfect crunch.
