If you think everything is big in Texas they do honor that here lol. 1 plate is for 2 people, if you are a type of customer that don't eat to much you can definitely save money by ordering 1 plate for 2. Waiters are nice and they are checking if you need something else at all times. We had ordered baked potato size is good you just might have to order extra side of sour cream or cheese. The food was bland and lacked flavor. A significant portion of the meal seemed like it came straight from a cafeteria. I ordered the roasted chicken steak, along with carrots, spinach, and mac and cheese, but the steak was tough and difficult to chew. I requested white gravy but received cream of chicken soup instead. Everything was unseasoned. I would have preferred Luby's or even a hospital cafeteria. I spent $42 and didn’t even enjoy a drink!
Kelley's was a great experience. Incredible menu of choices. Several daily specials each day. I had the Combo Texas Baked Potato with a green salad. Salad was fresh. The Texas Baked Potato was the biggest Potato i had ever seen or tried to eat. Potato was hot and delicious with plenty to take home and enjoy! I highly recommend this Houston eating establishment with its friendly service.
The best place to come bring the family when you don't want to cook but looking for a great meal that the whole family can enjoy won't break your pockets! Their breakfast items are good, they make it any way you like with texas sized biscuits yummy pancakes! Their chicken is also good, you can't go wrong with that.
I was completely satisfied after my visit. I'm from Phoenix and a local recommended this place to me, and it did not disappoint. The portion sizes were generous, and the food was even better! The Texas hospitality was also fantastic, and I even got a little history lesson about the restaurant from my waitress!
