Came to eat after shopping the “Girls Night Out” downtown bowmanville. 3 of us ladies, wanting to have some drinks and a nice dinner together. We notice “Happy Hour” menu is from 8pm-Close. We came in just after 9pm. We order our drinks, we we’re surprised our server never asked if we wanted to “kick it up” and upsize but then thinking they were part of the “happy hour” maybe she assumed we would want the happy hour price. The drinks weren’t actually included in the happy hour in the end(which is fine, but it should be more clear), so she definitely could have upsold us and we would’ve found out then they weren’t part of it. We were going to order apps, but between our drinks and when the server came back, we just wanted our food. Server did not ask at any point if we wanted to start with apps, missed out on another upsell opportunity as we were all chatting and would’ve ordered at least 2 apps. As soon as our food came, she asked if everything came out okay and if needed anything but then did not come back till we were all completely done. Only one of us was driving and we wanted to order more drinks but by the time she came back we were done so just got a water, paid our bills and left. Nothing was terrible, it just was lacking in the customer service. It could’ve been a really great experience but we left feeling like we didn’t want to come back. Family dinner was great! Although my fried pita spinach dip was a bit over cooked, all the food was delicious! Our kids got fancy lemonades and my husband and I each got Kelsey 's specialty drinks. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: CA$20–30 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
