The restaurant has a wonderful ambiance, with a fabulous array of cakes and desserts, along with a delightful lunch menu. The staff are welcoming and provide attentive service. Although there was a brief wait for a table, the staff were quick to accommodate and efficiently manage the seating arrangements. The rare beef sandwich was top-notch, featuring fresh bread and tasty beef. The parsnip and carrot cake was outstanding.

I have been coming to K&J since my 30 year old was in short trousers but have never got round to reviewing it before now. Anyhoo it is absolutely fantastic. Everything cooked and served very well. We enjoyed our brunch and the coffee is exceptional. Yes it’s busy and you may have to queue but it is definitely worth the wait.

We had to wait a while to get a table of 3 at a busy lunchtime but it was so worth the wait! Delicious homemade soup with an incredible warm cheese scone less than £7 and utterly scrumptious! One of the friends had to take half the scone away as it’s quite large! Friendly and helpful service. Can’t recommend enough…

The coffee and atmosphere here was great. For breakfast, we ordered the beans and the mushrooms on toast. The bread was unpleasantly soggy but the flavours were good. Service felt very rushed. Seldom eat here as I've always found the staff to be distant and somewhat aloof, and it's always a wait for a table, which I never do. Food is good so I usually just buy to go.

Always busy, great food, really nice coffee and amazing cakes. This place is well worth a visit if you can get a table. Don't forget to check out the specials.
