So this is my first time actually ordering a custom cake from the shop and may I say I've never tasted a red velvet cake so moist, decadent, and rich. The frosting was like glue that hold the cake together without pieces falling apart. I requested fondant as the outside layer and glad that I did. This is the first time, I've tasted fondant that wasn't rubbery. I actually thought for a second, they never added fondant to the cake. I thought it was an extra layer of a different kind of frosting but I was mistaken. The best cake that I've had that was crafted deliciously! Will order again! I've been hearing about Kia's cakes nonstop so I finally decided to go in and try it. It is good. The sweet potato cheese cake is amazing and gets extra points for its unique approach. The pound cake had a regular taste but was super soft. The chocolate chip cookies had a great thickness and texture but tasted gluten free. (Maybe I was given gluten free cookies). And Kia herself works there most of time. Respect!
My son is allergic to eggs, so I ordered a custom vegan birthday cake for his party. It was half chocolate and half vanilla with buttercream icing and shaped like his boogie board that he loves to use when we go down the shore. Well, let me tell you that cake was so moist and delicious and the kids and parents all loved it. If you are in need of vegan bakery goods and gluten free this is the place to go to.
I can't say enough about how awesome the cake we had made at Kia's was. I worked with Rachel on my order and the service was fantastic and the cake was exactly what I had envisioned for my daughter, who is a Big Breaking Bad fan! And the cake itself was amazing. Super moist and delicious! Everyone at the party raved about the cake!
