Kilimanjaro, Yohannes

We are Italian friends trying eritrean/ethiopian cuisine for the first time. Our reception from the waiter is very warm (he is very kind and welcoming). Not being able to decide what to order and being quite the formidable eaters we decide to taste a...bit of everything and order a little abundant, (plate for people with a mix of dishes) hoping for the best. Our expectation are met as we eat a delicious dinner, very good taste, nice looking food, very good service. We also ate to our fullness (but we are strong eaters). We would say the rations are therefore reasonable as far as quantity is concerned. After finishing our African beers (very particular, tasty and sweet) and our desserts (we tried one of each and everything was as good as the main course) the waiter, without even receiving a tip, offers us two rounds of typical Eritrean liquor, on the house. The price is convenient and competitive, our choice had definitely a good bang for the buck! Of course the tip was necessary after such a treatment. The owner is also a nice fellow and we thanked him for the pleasant experience. We were also quite pleased to find that one waitress speaks a good Italian. The restaurant looks very good, well kept and well furnished. We definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone willing to try something ethnic in Frankfurt!

Although the theme of the place is bit kitchy, the staff make you feel absolutely at home and welcome. We did not have to wait long at all for our food and when it came, it tasted fantastic, lovely delicate flavours. My wife and I...were so pleased we will be back in the future.

Kilimanjaro Resaturant is not only for food, but for high-quality decor, ample atmosphere and very funny and entaertainer owner with wonderful staff and service. When people go to Frankfurt, you should not go without visiting and enjoying this place.

There was lipstick from another person on my glass when I received it. The food also didn't taste very good. When I got home, I started throwing up and got diarrhea. I most definitely got it from the food there. I wouldn't recommend.

Smooth 5 stars! Go regularly for years and it's always great! Food is incredibly delicious! Enjoy the next visit!
