We stopped here for lunch twice on a recent visit to PEC. Enjoyed it so much the first time that we decided to return, but were disappointed the second time. My husband's pork belly sandwich had practically no meat (it was all fat) and was very small, definitely not worth the $8.50. I enjoyed my shaved asparagus salad, but I requested dressing on the side (we ordered our food to go) and it was not provided, so it was a bit dry. The portion was very small for $12. If we had not enjoyed it the first time would have rated it lower than 4. The menu definitely has a lot of potential and the food is fresh.
I decided to try this restaurant after discovering that the Agrarian was closed mid-week. I ordered a delicious club sandwich on ciabatta bread, which featured poached chicken breast with a subtle curry flavor, lettuce, tomatoes, miso mayo, and Seed to Sausage bacon. Although it was a bit pricey, it was a satisfying choice for a light lunch. My 12-year-old son ordered a ham and cheese sandwich, while my partner opted for the soup and half sandwich special, which were both good deals at the restaurant.
I stoped by before going shopping for tea and a croissant, the service was courteous and fast, it was a beautiful afternoon, so I sat outside, it is Avery nice area with much shades. I returned before leaving to get a water and picked up a jar of marinated artichoke which were delicious. There are a few items sold as preserve as well as chips and some containers. All in all, I was very satisfied with my visit and look forward to returning.
We sat at a table under the large tree, which graces the patio. It made for a very relaxing lunch. The food was good (portions, as mentioned are a bit on the small size), but the vinaigrette on the salad was delicious and the tea perfect. The day we visited was unseasonably warm and it was a real treat to be able to sit outside and have our dog with us. The county needs more dog friendly restaurants. We'll be back for sure. Friendly, helpful wait staff. Handwritten blackboard menu - assortment of FRESH sandwiches and choice of breads. Ham and swiss on baguette was served on a warmed baguette - perfect lunch pick-me-up. Staff knew we were sharing, so automatically brought an extra plate. Organic (bottled) lemonade was excellent - not too sharp or sweet. Outdoor patio or indoor seating. Daily soup. Will return soooooon!!
Stopped in for lunch. I was plesantly surprised. Inside was very nicely decorated. I had the chicken curry roti and it was huge and delicious. It was to much to eat but I managed to get it all eaten. Would definitely go back. Maybe in the summer when you can also sit on the patio....
