We liked King Rye. The smash burgers were awesome and the home made “tater tots” were more like potato croutons while different than expected they were still good. The ambiance, service location are great. We had the bartender take care of us at a high top table. My only gripe is that the menu seems a big limited. I think they purposefully do not have many lower priced options like sandwiches or apps and sides that you can turn into a meal if you would like. Check the menu before you go.
If you enjoy service, wonderful cocktails, along with fabulous dishes. This is not your place to attend. Service was SLOW, and the server kept complaining that he was the only one on the floor. Our dishes came out cold, as if they were sitting in the window for some time and finally my Wisconsin Old Fashion was more water than cocktail.
We’ve had a great experience at King Rye the past two summers, this last visit was particularly exceptional. Leo and his team took great care of us and the food was delicious. Stand outs were the kale salad, shrimp and grits, and pork chop. Kids were very happy with their burgers too and the cocktails were great!
We hosted our wedding afterparty event at King Rye this April 2024, and we were so pleased with how it turned out! Allison and her team were flexible and accommodating as we finalized our event details. The food and atmosphere are great, and it's a perfect location too. We look forward to returning! Food is ave to below for a hotel restaurant. Especially when this is the only place for residents of the hotel to use or lose the $25/day charge. It’s definitely not worth going even for breakfast unless you have to use that mandatory hotel credit, which si probably why they charge it.
A standard in OT after 15 years we can count on King Rye to serve good food. Yes, its a hotel restaurant but its good! They have a nice bar and dining room with outdoor seating in the heart of OT. The staff is casual and pleasant. Reservations required bc they are always busy. :
Couldn’t even stay, left immediately. Was so hot inside I thought the AC wasn’t working. The people who managed to stay were fanning themselves with napkins. I wanted to enjoy birthday brunch but I went somewhere else. As I was walking out I saw the AC was set the 76 degrees.
We enjoyed our brunch at King Rye. The Creamed Chicken Biscuits, Egg white omelet, and Cinnamon rolls were so delicious. Outstanding service as always. Can't wait to come back! Thank you! Reserva una mesa ahora
