King William Inn

The pub was extremely busy, and to me packed to capacity with the number of tables they could get into the spaces. The staff seemed run off their feet, and stressed doing the best they could. We had a table of eight people one side of the table wedged into the wall with no room to pull the chairs out from the table, with no leg room either. One jug of gravy, and one bowl of additional vegetables between the eight of us, which was under cooked. The meat was tender, the roast potato cooked, mashed ok, and the Yorkshire pudding great. Presentation ok. ! I do not take pleasure in giving bad reviews. However, I found the whole experience chaotic, cleaning the tables as the next party arrived etc. I feel it's over subscribed, and think the quality of food presented would improve greatly, if there was a reduction in the amount of placements set Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: £20–30 Food: 3 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

Disappointingly average. Lazy menu and food quality. If I'm paying £50 per head I don't expect to have to dig my own cutlery out of a box on the table. No steak knives, and sugar for coffee seems to be an optional extra. The whole experience turned into just another pub meal but at premium prices.
