This was my first trip to the UK and I was craving a typical dish: Fish and Chips with a pint. As I was walking through Oxford Square, I stumbled upon this restaurant that looked like the perfect representation of a traditional English eatery. Inside, there were multiple dining areas, some with screens showing sports matches, and a few bar areas where you could enjoy a pint with your meal. The first pint I tried was decent, but then I was offered a different one that blew me away. Finally, I got to try the traditional Fish and Chips and it exceeded all my expectations. Booked for lunch with friends after checking menu on website. On ordering was told could not have sandwiches as no bread! Website menu has a sandwich- brunch menu. Pub was not really busy so could not understand why no bread in the middle of Oxford. Three dingly dell pork and egg plates were brought but looked most unappetising as no veg not even a few peas! Pork was inedible as too tough so three meals total waste of money, thankfully my ham hock was passable. When plates collected and was asked if all okay on being told not really pork not good and this was visible by meat left on plates waitress just uttered oh! So with meals and drink feel that £80 wasted and what was meant to be a enjoy...
The King's Arms is a well-known and popular pub in Oxford. Yesterday, four of us (two couples) had lunch there. The booking process was efficient and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our orders were taken quickly and the food arrived promptly. However, we were disappointed with the meal. Two of us had an artichoke salad that was lacking in seasoning. The mashed potatoes served with the other dishes were bland and uninspiring. Considering the abundance of dining options in Oxford, we believe that the kitchen at The King's Arms needs to improve.
The Kings Arms in Oxford provides a wonderful dining experience. The food is excellent with a menu that caters to all tastes. The clean and well-kept restrooms contribute to the pleasant atmosphere. The friendly staff adds to the overall enjoyment of the visit, making it a charming destination in the center of Oxford. I highly recommend it for a memorable and enjoyable dining experience.

Visited with my wife for an evening couple of drinks. However, in all my years I've never had to endure such disgusting mens toilets! The stench was unbearable and everything else simply disgusting. The floor is like it truly is 400 years old and desperately needs replacing come on Youngs get with it! Couldn't wait to get out and seek another pub with modern day facilities.
Restaurant came highly recommended. We had a great window table by which we were able to entertain ourselves for 20 minutes before we were told by other patrons that we had to order our drinks and food from the very crowded bar. There is no wait staff. Hostess showing us to our table should have shared that information. Food very average.
The food was excellent as was the Guinness and Young's Special. Great table service and friendly servers. More staff needed on the bar, had to queue a while to give the food order.
Kind I'd of a let down.Had the crab cake and couldn't taste much crab at all the predominant flavour being mashed potato. For what it cost it was a bit of a rip off.

Food was OK but the service was the slowest I've ever encountered one hour to serve cheese cake. Do they make it fresh or something.
The food was amazing and the staff were great. There is a lot on the menu to chose from we look forward to returning.
