I had a meal from Kings Meal on Thursday and received a drink with my order that was 8 months past its expiration date. I only noticed this after drinking it tonight, so I called the restaurant to inform them. Unfortunately, I received no apology for the oversight. All they seemed concerned about was contacting their suppliers. While I agree that it's unacceptable for them to sell items that are expired, the store is responsible for checking the expiration dates before handing them to customers. The staff member I spoke with was quite rude and insisted that I was being unreasonable. However, I don’t think it's unreasonable to expect to not receive drinks that are 8 months out of date.
I ordered food on Friday, and it took over two hours to arrive. I wasn't able to contact the restaurant during that time. When the delivery finally came, they sent the wrong pizza! I understand they're busy due to COVID-19, but the service has been terrible. I'm also frustrated that they won’t refund me for the incorrect pizza that we didn’t like and ultimately had to throw away, even after Foodhub reached out to them. Save yourself the hassle and avoid ordering from this takeaway.
This is a fantastic restaurant! I enjoyed the chicken tikka kebab, garlic mayo, chips with cheese, and cheese garlic bread. The children also loved the pizza. The vegan cheese was delicious—nothing like the unpleasant store brand. It felt safe to eat. I will definitely be coming back regularly! I highly recommend supporting this place to help expand their vegan options!
