I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. They started our meal with an amuse bouche, which was a delightful surprise. The BYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) policy was a fantastic bonus, especially since the dishes can be quite pricey; ordering drinks would have significantly increased our bill for what was meant to be an affordable outing. The only downside was that we weren't informed until we were ready to pay that they only accept cash or checks. One of our party members had to step out to get cash. When I brought this up to the manager or owner, she directed me to a small note on the counter that mentioned this policy, claiming that they had informed us beforehand, which wasn't the ca...
On the downside, I wasn't really a fan of the music. It didn't quite fit the elegant vibe of the food and was a bit distracting throughout the meal. Having grown up in Miller Place, I frequently visit Orto, their sister restaurant, which features a wonderful and romantic atmosphere. I think Kitchen A Bistro could benefit from infusing some of that charm into its setting.
All in all, I give this place 5 stars because the exceptional food far outweighed any issues with the ambiance.
This restaurant is an absolute treasure, particularly in Suffolk County. I would give both the front-of-house and back-of-house service a five-star rating. I’m usually quite discerning when it comes to restaurant food, staff, and service, but everything here surpassed my expectations. It was a fantastic dining experience from beginning to end! Reservations are a must! You and your guests will not be disappointed—definitely give it a try!
This is one of the best restaurants on Long Island. The food is outstanding, and the service is top-notch. The bring-your-own-wine policy is a great way to save some money. We've been dining here for years, and the quality has always been excellent. The menu offers a wide range of options, but if you love seafood, the chef really knows how to prepare the perfect fillet. I have truly enjoyed dining at this restaurant over the years. The homemade pasta with veal ragu is outstanding, and the braised short ribs are so tender that they nearly melt in your mouth. Every appetizer has been a hit. I will really miss this place.
I always look forward to eating here. The atmosphere is cozy while still being cheerful and fun, and it never feels pretentious. To be honest, I can't even complain about their cash-only policy because the experience is absolutely worth it.
The food was fantastic! The duck was hands down the best I've ever had, and my wife enjoyed the bass. Both dishes, along with several appetizers, were exceptional!
