We recently had the pleasure of dining at The Kitchin in Edinburgh. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we felt ensconced in the atmosphere and genuine hospitality the restaurant provided. It was apparent that great care had been taken to create a place that was pleasing and comfortable as the interior décor was cozy and intimate. The Surprise Tasting Menu was diverse and the dishes were crafted with the utmost skill and creativity. Each of the seven courses that we indulged in was a true masterpiece (including the vegetarian versions) because the favors were exquisite and the presentation of each dish was a work of art. We had an absolutely excellent meal at The Kitchin. We emailed the restaurant to let them know we had four gluten-free diners, and they were prepared for us. You let us make the Surprise Tasting Menu gluten-free, with many courses! They had seafood, beef, vegetables, dessert and delicious gluten-free bread. None of us had problems with food, and they seemed very knowledgeable about gluten. The meal was expensive and very long, but 100% worth it. Everyone in our group said it was the best meal they ever had. If you get in here, do it.
