We recently had the pleasure of dining at The Kitchin in Edinburgh. From the moment we stepped through the doors, we felt ensconced in the atmosphere and genuine hospitality the restaurant provided. It was apparent that great care had been taken to create a place that was pleasing and comfortable as the interior décor was cozy and intimate. The Surprise Tasting Menu was diverse and the dishes were crafted with the utmost skill and creativity. I 've wanted to visit this restaurant for quite some time but it is a four hour drive from Leeds. So, when we had the opportunity of a few days in Balmoral with family it presented the ideal opportunity to make this a priority on the way back via Edinburgh. We booked for a Friday lunchtime on the basis that it provided a broad opportunity to order A La Carte, the tasting menu, which we not great fans off generally, or the lunchtime set menu.
