Once a year we make a trip to East Texas, and we always make a point to eat at Kitt’s Kornbread. I don’t know anywhere else in the world that makes this type of amazing sandwich. The first bite is so buttery and soft and flavorful. Unforgettable, and why we keep coming back. Another reason we love this place is Danielle. She has been serving us year after year. She has an easy-going warmth and friendliness and if I owned a restaurant I would steal her away! One visit they were slammed and she took it all in stride. as the sign says, eat first dessert and I. the apple cake was delicious! then I had the Texan sandwich. jalapeno cornbread and texas chili. definitiw needed a fork, better still a spoon to eat it. that was also delicious! it was busy and they did a great task to maintain with the patrons. in any case one must try to visit jefferson
they were short staff and made an amazing task to sit and feed everyone. the menu choices were also interesting: a burger on maisbrot and chili on maisbrot are a few we tried. but her maisbrot was mostly tasteless. no note on sweet and not very humid. they get 2 stars for eating and 4 stars for the rush. so they get my 3 stars.
pretty loud, but understandable. had to wait about 20 minutes for a table, but it's a good place again. I personally think they need a new recipe. broccoli salat was very good. sandwiches were better than I thought they were. very tasty. pies good. I'm going back.

Order the REDNECK!!!! OMG that sandwich is to die for. Fried bologna cheese, mayo, onions and lettuce. Plus brought back awesome memories of when my dad and I would go to a little place in Ft. Worth, TX for fried bologna sandwiches. Life is good!
husband said the Keylime pilot was the absolute best he ever had. kornbread club, was different, but good. also the chicken and dumplings are quite good. hometown diner, highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our lunch at Kitt's. The cornbread sandwich was different but good. There is a limited menu, but should be something for everyone, and the pie was great.
I really like it here, the food is good, the waitstaff is nice, the decor is nice, everything is good.
The tuna tacos were excellent.

Ate here while visiting Albany veterans day weekendWe arrived around 430 pm on a Saturday afternoon and were seated immediately.
They used to have gluten free chicken wings, but they no longer have a dedicated fryer I was really bummed about that.
