Best duck in NYC? Yes! It would be a challenge to find better duck, duck, kachna than Koliba. It is not available every day, so call before you go, but go anyway! It is delicate, juicy, meat, its thin crispy perfect skin will delight your taste buds. It is not in the menu, make sure you ask for it. If they don't have it, everything is excellent. I hate duck in most restaurants. It is occasionally acceptable. At Koliba, it is the traditional European preparation to change your mind about duck. Brought with red cabbage and knedliky (pumps). My wife had beef with dill sauce and extra dill sauce haha, which is in house style cooking in the Czech tradition. Excellent Pivo (beer) of course. Starte...

Our Czech friend brought us to this place who claims that this is the most authentic Czech cuisine in New York and boy does not disappoint it. The attack of meat and cheese and cabbage dishes was about what I expected; it made me moaning when the next court rolled on our table. I would say the duck was the best of them, exactly followed by smoked pork. Make sure you order a few shots of Sliviza to get this all down smoothly. The desert is probably best ordered somewhere else.

Last night, this place checked. We pampered with a friend, and we shared a few things (bread, smoke sink and cabbage, Pierogis). I was very impressed by everything we have ordered and would highly recommend, although I am sure other items are great. Really enjoyed the beer I ordered (BrouCzech Dark) as well. Very glad that this place exists, and I will definitely come back!

This restaurant is wonderful. Such a great, authentic ambience and delicious food. The Pierogies and Goulash are so good that we order them almost every time. Cheap house wines and beers calculate the expensive entrees, but they are worth the costs anyway (and they are also photogenic).
