Made a reservation for NYE and was initially placed on a front patio which was inside and heated with overhead heaters which were blazing hot. There were plenty of tables in the actual dining room. We were then moved to a table inches from another even though nice booths were open. When you get dressed up and want a nice romantic dinner on New Year’s Eve and spend a lot of money you really shouldn’t have this experience. Our meal was very good but given the way I felt about the seating, I’d think twice about going for a special occasion (if at all).
We invited our daughter and her family to a nice New Year’s Eve dinner at Kona Grill. The visit was very disappointing. The service did not match the pricing $370 with the tip). Our sever was slow, our food came out before the appetizer. 1/2 of our order came out and the remaining order took another 1/2 hour! We had to request refills on water and drinks by flagging him down. I was also denied a change to my dish. When you pay $35 for a chicken dish some flexibility should be offered. Overall the food was okay. Very disappointed.
Food and service were poor. Waiter knew nothing about menu items; we asked how the salmon was prepared and he said he wasn't sure they got a new thing in the kitchen to cook it in. My sea bass was undercooked. If you are going to go through the trouble of marking items on your menu as gluten free, show which can be made gluten free as well. Nothing like having celiac and seeing that I am going to have to explain how to make certain items gluten-free as the menu isn't marked to make me feel comfortable ordering.
We had to wait about 50 minutes before we got our food, mind you we only ordered four small apps from the happy hour section. Are we forgot to bring one out but still charged us for it. And the worst part is our bowl for the lettuce wrap literally came out with pretty much just carrots and celery, and one fourth of the way filled.

Service was terrible. Felt like they were annoyed we had kids. Asked questions about food options and they didn’t know the answer. Food came out wrong and one meal we had to wait a long time on which made it cold because it had been sitting in the kitchen for too long. Will not go back
Sushi was good, server was good. The menu prices were way too high. $37 Fish and chips is a little pricey in my opinion. The overall menu pricing was expensive.
My go to spot I love it best place ever. Good food great staff great vibes
